He cannot be Russian, my family do not involve themselves with any crime family in Russia. “Get off him.” He orders in a voice too calm and cold.

“We were roommates, you see. I noticed she had been sneaking out late at night recently, practically every evening. One time I decided to follow her and…” She trailed off, chewing her lower lip. “And what?” I prompted gently. “And I saw her meeting with some hooded stranger near the edge of the forest,” she admitted in a hushed voice. “I couldn’t see their face or anything, but it looked like she was taking a small baggie from them. I figured... you know, drugs or something.” My heart clenched painfully in my chest. Drugs? Was that really what all this was about? “I’m so sorry,” I said again. “When did this happen? Did you see any defining details about the stranger?”

It was weird that I still couldn't get used to the both of them towering over me like I was a prey that they wanted to pounce on and devour. "Where are we going?" Dax asked, looking at his brother and then at me. "For a little shower, and a lot of fun." Xavier replied in a snarky tone. "Are we not hunting JJ down?" Dax squinted his eyes on me. "You want to join in?" I was surprised to hear him ask and including 'we' in his question. "Do you think I was going to let you go and avenge yourself against that fucker alone?" "Hmm... The Russo Brothers are back on action." Xavier smirked behind me.

Aaron asked raising his head up. “I couldn’t believe, mr stranger will be this loose while coming to Russia.” A man with a cigar walked towards the light as two bodyguards followed from behind. “And you are?” Aaron asked again because he doesn’t know the face. “Ruséf” The man said puffing smoke into the air. “My men told me, a young Americana was having a deal with my worst Enemy.” He said for Aaron to chuckle. “And what do I have to do with that?” Aaron asked for the man to sit down on the chair that was brought for him.

Russo is the leader of the C. Organization? I thought he was dead because Achilles killed him right? Achilles suddenly showed up, along with Caleb and some of their men. I put my gaze back at Russo who’s smiling annoyingly. When I couldn’t control my anger anymore, I punch him straight in his face. “F*ck you! Why did you kill Kendra?!” “I’ll f*cking kill you!” I continously give him straight punches not minding the pain crushing through my knuckles.

"It's okay. You're safe." I buried my face in his chest, my voice muffled. "How did they even find this place?" Hector was quiet for a moment. "I'll handle it." True to his word, he took care of it. I didn't know what he did or said, but my family never showed up at our door again. Life finally settled into a peaceful rhythm. I managed to find a new job in Solvane. The company was small, but the culture was incredibly supportive.
