“Rancid left you something.” Nitro stood up and walked to the back of the room and opened a door. He disappeared inside and returned a few minutes later with a large box, one that would hold an expensive dress. He placed the box on the table in front of Jake and sat down again. Jake opened the box and pulled out the black leather jacket. It felt heavy in his hands and he turned it over. On the back, etched onto the leather, was a burning phoenix with his road name, ‘Wrath’, beneath it. Jake swallowed the lump away and looked at Bandit. “Fucking Rancid,” he said, and everyone burst out laughing.

Everyone was in a state of tension. The host started counting together with the timer. My heart raced. I don't know how much about Black Raven but I believe they will nail it. With three seconds remaining, the sound of the engine roaring echoed through, and then Ryker’s face surfaces. The crowd escalated with cheers. Even I found myself smiling. Black Raven has won the game. **

Black The Origin Chapter 28: Betrayal (2) A few hours earlier... "Nerom? Why are?" Amari still can't believe it and left standing won't be able to move an inch. "No more question. This is your trial." There is even no faint of mercy in his voice. He draws his sword pointing in Mari's direction. The Black Beast Sword was pointing at her. It was a relic given by King-Rank Swordsman. To think that his master's sword will be pointing at her is something she would never imagine.

“You look nervous.” “Of course not. It’s normal,” Grey answered defensively. Black tucked himself back in and smirked. “I was only teasing. Don’t take it seriously. I’m straight. I like women.” Grey froze. His chest tightened as if pierced. He couldn’t speak, the words stuck in his throat. Black patted him lightly. “Sorry,” Grey finally whispered. “It’s okay, baby girl,” Black said softly, holding Grey’s hand. “Let’s go.” Just as Black was about to walk away, Grey pulled him back and grabbed him by the neck.

Then I hear someone whisper from behind, “She’s sitting next to him.” Another person gasps softly and my heartbeat picks up. What’s going on? I glance sideways again...and that’s when I notice it. The tattoos peeking from under his long sleeves and wrapping around his wrist like dark vines colorfully and dangerously. My breath catches. Wait. No. It can’t be but the more I look, the more certain I am. The hair.. the eyes and the tattoos. It’s him! It's Ryan fucking Blackwood!

Then something stopped me. “You really didn’t think I would let you kill yourself, do you? Not when I finally have you all to myself.” Ares spoke. “Ares! No, let me go!” Ares hand covers mine, halting it so that it can move no further. My mind told me to scream and kick, but something else happened. It’s almost like a camera flash. I blinked, then standing before me is a solid black form. Scales so dark that it was almost like you were looking at the galaxy. Who? Wait. That energy. That’s Ryder, only… Holy shit!

Bryar put in their birthday date and it opened. They all walked in and Blakeley fell to the floor immediately they got in. “Mummy.” Bryar cried and held her bloody hands. “It's okay, I’m fine.” She muttered. Bryar’s cries were all she heard before blacking out.

“He won’t search the foundation immediately. He thinks I am too weak to hide under his nose.” He paused. A grim smile touched his lips. “Besides, the bond gave me something crucial, Elara. I saw their formations. I know where Blackwood is vulnerable. He thinks he broke me. He has no idea he just forged a weapon.” He carried me into the dark service stairwell. I closed my eyes. The rhythm of his heart beat against my ear—steady, powerful, and alive. “Rian,” I murmured, the question nagging at me. “The blue line. It turned black. What does black mean?”
