Iris. Lightning. Blinding lightning cracks across the sky, and that’s when I see it. A monstrosity. A towering werewolf, drenched in rain, muscles taut and rippling with barely restrained rage. Each limb looks sculpted for violence. Its fur is slick, dark, and matted from blood and storm. Its breath steams in the cold air. Plumes spiral around its snout. Its eyes, blazing gold. My heart stops. God… I just fell into another creature’s war. All of them, beasts of the moon. Beasts of the night. Oh no!

“The feeling is real!” “Is it?” the voice asked, almost gently. The grey swirled again. Now it showed a possible future, Luca, standing in a beam of pure moonlight in the Sacred Grove but not trapped, he was serene, powerful and his eyes fully silver. The Lunar Omega, was perfected and beside him… nothing…..but just an empty vast space where I should have been. The bond was gone…. In its place, Luca was connected to everything….the trees, the stones, the moon itself. He looked… completely whole and utterly alone.

Tonight, its grey walls are bathed in the soft shimmer of bistro lights strung across the grounds. But the brightest light of all is the one above us—the full moon, hanging clear and silver in the sky. A formal event beneath a full moon… with a werewolf. It feels almost too much like a fairytale. "You calmed something I've never been able to control. And when we were together, something happened that I didn't intend."

Pain ripped through my wrist again, brutal and bright. My vision blurred. The ash thinned. Rowan stepped forward, fast. Dax moved to block— Moon-silver snapped through the air and bit into Dax’s shoulder like a snake. The chain wrapped him once, twice, then tightened with a hungry hum. Dax grunted, teeth bared, gold eyes flaring. Rowan’s voice stayed calm. “Rogues don’t get to touch what belongs to the pack.” Dax’s knees dipped as if the chain was crushing him from the inside.

Ryn asked back, seemingly reluctant to answer Judith's question. Judith, however, took the question as confirmation that Ryn and Albert had indeed had sex. She smiled and said, "It's a bit vulgar, but you can tell the location of the Moonlight Falls when you have sex." "What?" Suddenly, Ryn's mouth gaped with perfectly widened eyes. "This is ridiculous! Are you trying to set me up?" she asked, looking at Judith with suspiciously narrowed eyes. "No, dear. I'm not setting you up. I know it's ridiculous, but that's how it is. And ...." Judith paused while expressing like she had an important note to make. "You must have sex on the full moon in wolf form," Judith continued.

We turn at the same time to see Luka stepping out from the forest, his gold-tinted curls blowing about his face, his brown eyes wide with wonder at the sight of the river. He walks past, still not seeing us. Darius and I look at each other, then scramble up to follow him. Luka stops at the top of the river embankment. He passes his hand over his eyes. When he drops his hand again, he opens his eyes and they are a milky grey colour. The glow disappears from the sky and in the darkness a full moon rises. Not just any moon. I recognize this moon. So pale, so clear, it appears as if behind a layer of ice. The first full moon of the new year. The Wolf Moon.

Run, or prepare for death and destruction. Layla doesn't know any of this, and after the attack a few days ago, I wonder if that is a coincidence or a sign as to what is ahead in our future. I turn to her as she sits here admiring the stars and the night sky. I look around and see the fireflies have stopped doing their dances, the toads have stopped croaking, even the crickets have stopped singing. The wind is too calm, like the calm before the storm. Everything seems to have stopped with bated breath, waiting for the moon's tears to come to an end. I feel tense, unsure, and angry. Why must this happen now? He puts a tiny box on my palm. "Open it." He nods at the box. I slowly open it to see a bracelet with some charms- wolf, moon, heart, and stars . "It's beautiful." I say and hug him. He takes the bracelet and puts it on my wrist. " Thank you so much." "Your welcome." He says and leaves after a few chit chat. "Hey." Drew says and stands in front of me. His ams come behind me and he takes me in a soft embrace. My body is flushed against him.

Cilyna's mother began. The full moon's silvery glow shines down as a spot light on a pure white wolf with golden eyes that glowed with the magic of the moon goddess. She leaned down to get a drink from the cold steam and suddenly noticed a pair of eyes standing behind her in the reflection from the water. The white wolf eases closer and she slowly turns to face this beautiful creature hoping for the best. The golden eyes piercing glare lasted only a moment before the wolf started growling. The girl resembed the moon goddess that cursed her and the girl's face sent the beast into a frenzy.
