Loop's markers move across the whiteboard as she casts them to write things, and she begins her lecture while we begin to jot notes down. I kept it safe, not fully understanding its purpose, but now it seemed like the answer we’d been searching for.

She turned the lock and pushed it open. Inside, the vault was dark except for a soft, pulsing blue glow in the center. The relic hovered slightly above a stone pedestal, a smooth crystal orb etched with ancient runes. It shimmered and flickered, reacting to our presence. The air around it felt alive, charged with power. “It’s awake,” Lyra breathed. “Because of everything that’s happening… because of us.” I stepped closer. Ruby swooped to the right, pulling Nya out of the way of that arrow and then followed Gavin’s dragon up into the air for a returning pass. It was then that Nya saw Slate. He was in his human form, on top of the castle on one of the turrets, fighting against a mob of Beelzanborg soldiers.
