If only he had said something different, if only he hadn’t pushed me away like that, everything would be easier. Maybe I wouldn’t have to pretend that his indifference didn’t hurt me. My thoughts were interrupted when a visitor arrived at the pack. Sienna, the daughter of a warrior beta, was greeted with great enthusiasm. Her beauty was undeniable: red hair and sparkling eyes full of apparent sweetness. “Lyra, right?” she said with a radiant smile when we were introduced. “I’ve heard so much about you.” “Oh, really?” I asked cautiously. “Yes,” she nodded, tilting her head slightly. “And I must say, you’re much more beautiful than I was told.”

Like he wasn’t sure I deserved the same urgency. ‎ ‎”What is this?” his jaw tightened. “Payback? What did you do, Sienna? How could you do this to her?” ‎ ‎His question hit me harder than the fall did. ‎But I reached for him anyway. “Please the baby,” I managed. “Drey the baby“ I’m going to lose it if you don’t hurry. But the rest of the words were swallowed by the darkness that pulled me in.

Raven lowered himself into a chair at the table, hands folded, expression calm and unreadable. Luca frowned. “What?” No one answered. A moment later, Sienna came back into the room, pale, rinsing her mouth at the sink as if nothing had happened. “Hey, guys. Welcome to Graves Land—” She turned suddenly and bolted for the bathroom, the door slamming behind her. “I’m fine,” her voice called quickly through the door. When she returned to the kitchen, pale and avoiding him the way she never did, Luca didn’t hesitate. “You are not,” he said automatically.

The words tasted bitter, but I said them anyway. “Always has been. Always will be. Running around like the world owes her something. Crying at every little thing. She doesn’t belong here with us. She never did.” Daxtor froze. His face went pale for a second, then his eyes widened as he looked past me. What the fuck- why did he stop- dont tell me…… My stomach dropped. I turned around slowly. Sienna was standing there at the edge of the path, half-hidden by the rose bushes. She must have come back for her sandals or something. Her eyes were wide, filled with shock and pain. A single tear slid down her cheek, catching the sunlight before it fell.

"Seraphina Agni, save our clan and come back safe. We need you, before our clan disappears, please— save the phoenix from crying..."

The western ridge smells like death even before we reach it. My wolf surges forward the second the wind carries it, claws ripping through my fingertips as a partial shift tears across my body. Sienna runs beside me, holding a sword tightly. You can see the dark lines on her skin because she is a vampire. She is moving quickly, like a wolf. Her eyes keep changing color: from brown to gold to black. Every few steps, her breathing gets faster and harder. “Stay behind me,” I growl, my voice already distorted by the shift.

I knew he was only going to go back to his cold behavior and I didn't want him to keep messing with my senses. I looked around, before my eyes finally came in contact with familiar brown ones. Sienna was here. She was putting on a dark blue dress that matched perfectly with her skin. It was a long dress that had a split at the mid thigh. Her make up was light and her hair was styled into french braids.

Sierra said regretfully and went to sit on her bed. “Can you at least get this off my wrist?” She said showing her hand to him. “What’s that?” “He has trapped my powers with the bracelet so there’s nothing I can do” Sierra explained. Ryker touched it and he let out a sharp cry because it burned his hand, “Is this made out of Wolfsbane?!” “Impossible, then how come it isn’t affecting me?” Sierra queried. “I started fearing you from the day you absorbed silver and got away with it” Ryker smacks his lips with a raise of his hand to praise Sierra.

"No, I am so busy with my work. I have to keep running around, and there is no way for me to take care of one." "Let's just keep it at home." Sienna finally realized that the voice talking with her was a little bit special. She turned her head back immediately and was in a trance with her eyes straight to Grayson's black pearl-like eyes. The eyes were not as cold as usual, and there seemed to be a bit of pampering and spoiling in them. "Oh," Sienna came to herself and stood up with a little bit of embarrassment, "You are here too." "Do you like it?"

"Look what you've done! You've hurt her hand! How could you be so careless?" He shoved me aside and rushed out with Elara to find a doctor. I fell back against the glass coffee table, the impact jarring. And then, a strange, cold pain bloomed across my back. I felt my skin... tear. It was then I remembered the doctor's words from my last check-up: "You carry the Siren's Gene, Isla. It could manifest at any time." As my vision blurred, my own blood pooling on the pristine white floor, I finally understood.
