I was sitting on a bench placed at the front of the house dreaming and hoping that one day, I would finally meet my mate although, it seems like a hopeless dream as I am still unmated at the age of 18. My name is Scarlett Watson, and I am an Omega werewolf. I am an orphan who lost my parents at the age of 5 after our pack was attacked. I am being taken care of by the whole park as my parents were known for being responsible and useful to the park while they were alive. Even though they were Omegas, they still proved themselves worthy.

I stare at Scarllet, showing no fear whatsoever. "As far as I know I haven't talked to you, "supreme"," she says, rolling his eyes. "But I," I point to myself, "am talking to you," I point to the bloodsucking creature in front of me. I look at Sophie, her face sweaty and her eyes teary. In a brief moment of distraction, I didn't notice when Scarllet approached me. With her purple eyes (which sent shivers down my spine), she kicked me in the ribs, throwing me against the wall. I ask, feeling worried. "Don't worry," Scarlett says, gently placing her hand on my arm. "Winter's not sick. It's Chloe, Vivaldi's girlfriend." I'm confused. "What happened to her now?" I ask. Scarlett leans in close and speaks in a serious voice. "She got bitten on the neck again." "What?" I can't believe what I'm hearing.

Serena's POV Bianca froze. "Bianca, what gives you the right to tell me to stay in my place? The family's pampered princess, the trust fund shareholder?" "You're the one always sitting pretty on unearned privilege. Who are you to lecture me about not fighting for what's mine?" "You—!" Her eyes reddened instantly. "Serena, I—" Her eyes filled with crocodile tears on cue. But I wasn't done. "And since you brought up my scar, let's talk about how I got it. Do you remember what you did to me when we were ten?"

I kept my head low as I was pushed forward. Every eye that lingered on me started knives, Every lips whispered insults as cruel as Theron's heart. “She deserves it!” “Good riddance.” “Finally, Scarface is gone. The girl staring back had a terrible scar running from the left side of her forehead down her half open nose, half missing lips to the right side of her jawline. Although she could see fairly well, one of her eyes was misty like a dull cloud on a boring day while the other was a vibrant forest green. I was a deformed girl. A freakshow that had no business being at the Luna Queen’s birthday party. Especially, since she hates my family with a passion. “Are you having fun?”

The store was to deliver all the items we bought, so we drove back to the house and I was saved from explaining my sour mood because Scarlett was on the phone with Vadirr all through the ride. She kept on giggling and making gestures, blushing and rolling her eyes, and for a minute I envied her. Vadirr was a strong and bulky man whereas Scarlett was petite compared to him because she’d been a werewolf before transitioning to a Lycan. But he was soft around her. His smile was deep and one could literally see him relax when they were together.

Laylin softly breathed out a sigh at his flaring temper. She closed her eyes in silent, her heart drumming in her chest. “Scarlet was the daughter of a Rakhbar Princess and Sansy so it made her the perfect medium: the blood of both, Red Witch and White Wolf.
