Clementine My Friday shift went surprisingly well. And by well, I meant that not one angry patron threw a glass of wine on me. I took that as a win! It was Ryan. He was just as I remembered, only a little more grown and buffed since the last time I saw him. Blond hair, sharp jawline, eyes filled with hate. So much fucking hate. He leaned back, tapping his fingers against the table. “You look good, Sinclair.” I didn't respond. Ryan’s gaze flicked to my untouched drink and a smirk pulled at his lips. “Still playing the part of the reformed man, huh?” I clenched my jaw, deciding not to fall for the bait.

If Stephen was missing, Rylan would know. His car wasn’t there. Maybe he didn’t have class today. I sighed, disappointed. Just as I turned to leave, a red Lenovo pulled into the lot. Rylan stepped out, looking just as flawless as the car. His hair was braided into a top knot that framed his sculpted oval face and prominent cheekbones. His forest-green eyes landed on me, piercing through my resolve. My heart raced as he approached, but I forced myself to stand my ground. “Hi,” he said, his voice soft but firm.
