Ryder barely said a word at dinner.
Which, in Ryder-speak, meant he was furious.
I tried not to squirm under his stare, but it was impossible. Every time I glanced up, I caught him watching me, his green eyes dark and stormy looking intensely at me.
“Hungry?” James asks, leaning back with his tie loosened around his neck.
“Not really,” I answer, forcing myself to meet his gaze while ignoring Ryder’s glare burning into me from across the table. “How was the meeting?”
