~Hunter’s Point of View~ I was enjoying my nice, quiet day off soaking in my huge tub. It had been a long week and my brothers and I rotated being on active duty and on call. I was aching for my week off. They were few and far between anymore since it seemed like everyday someone else was being a menace, being difficult. My brothers and I were Shadow Warriors, a coalition of various supernatural beings that keep the peace between each other and between our own kind. It’s a damn hard job, but someone has to do it.

He never told me that there was someone reaching out to help us get Sable back.” “What’s so great about her, anyway?” I asked. “Have you ever seen her fight?” He asked. “No. But I’ve heard of how she fought from the warriors back in Winter Moon.” “She’s completely lethal. Physically and mentally. It’s like nothing gets to her. It can completely disarm you. Best damn fighter I ever worked with at Dark Flame.” He said and a surge of jealously went through me that Anton felt.

He leaned over me, placing his hands on the arm rests of the chair I was sitting in, his face a hair from my own, “can you tell me honestly that you need those 2 years, will it make you any better of a warrior to know how to wait tables, or to work as a body guard to some starlet?” His eyes were full blown obsidian as he stared into my eyes, his scent swirling around me. All I wanted to do at this second was kiss him, not only because he was my mate, not only because he was driving me into a sexual frenzy with how sexy his ass is right now, but because he was right.
