I took my cell and messaged Terrence, hoping to distract my mind from everyone in the mad house. “Hey, babe. How’s your day going? I miss you already” I typed, knowing well that his reply was going to come through in a few seconds. Terrence usually said I was his first priority in life, and one of his ways of showing me that was texting me back even when he was in the middle of important meetings. “Hey my love, my day is empty without you. Honestly! I do not know if I will survive till evening if I do not see your face,” he replied instantly, adding a sad emoji at the end of his text to emphasize his sadness.

He had never imagined such a disaster could happen in a deal he had spent a year negotiating. At that moment, Sandra dropped to a deep ninety-degree bow, tears streaming down her face as she pleaded loudly, "I'm sorry! This has nothing to do with Mr. Ulrich! Don't scold him! I failed to discipline my child. Please forgive me, give me a chance to make it right!" The partner, startled, barked back, "I'm talking to Grayson! Who are you? How dare you ask me for forgiveness?" Sandra's tears fell in a torrent. Her shoulders shook, her posture small and pitiful, looking both wronged and helpless.

I crumbled on the ground, clutching my scarf, and still couldn’t grasp the harsh reality that my baby was no longer with me. I wish there is someone i can hug so bad and tell them how i am feeling but so sad the only person I can run to is on the sickbed almost at the verge of dying. I was still crying and cussing myself when my phone beep signaling me that i have a message. “Who the hell is disturbing my sad moment?” I hissed loudly. I pick up my phone from the table where i dropped it. I unlock my phone and clicked on the message to see what its about. “YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED INTO THE BILLINIARE SURROGATE PROGRAME.” I read aloud I cleaned the tears off my eyes to be sure of what i am reading and it was so clear as i was really accepted.
