The large lonely mansion which oozed nothing but affluence did not only house these money making halls but also had rooms above which caged workers who made this money and the bosses who ruled over them. I braced to crash against the ground, when strong hand grasped my elbow, my blossom pressed against the hard chest. My gaze rose to meet my saviour, Xaden. My heart stopped, and my mouth went dry. His face was inches from mine, his features chiseled and intense. My gaze dropped to his chest, where two buttons were undone, revealing his sculpted torso. I felt a flutter in my chest as my eyes returned to his. As I inhaled, his scent hit my nose, and I couldn't help but take a deep breath in. That very smell was my ticket back to that night. I didn't want to forget how good he smelled, like a blend of wood and spice.

"I can imagine that in this day and age, you're not too familiar with our customs and traditions; probably not even with mates, am I correct?" I nodded. "Here are some books I think you could benefit from," Xavier said, pulling three from the shelf. "If you have any questions let me know, I'll go get you some tea while you read." I thanked him as he handed the stack of books to me. I found a sofa in the next room over and began to look through the several-hundred page books I'd been given. One was entirely dedicated to mates. I opened that one first.

I stand up on tip-toes and whisper in his ear. "I have decided something," He groans at the contact of my tongue, licking his ear. "What's that?" He asks. I rub myself against his bulge. "That I want you," Xander growls, lifting me and carrying me to his desk. "Bend over," He says, smirking. I do what I'm told and bend over his desk. The coldness from the wood makes my nipples hard. Xander smacks my ass. "Repeat it," He says.
