X stood before me, distortion mask removed, face finally visible. And it was nobody. Not figuratively. Literally. The face underneath the mask was smooth, featureless—a blank canvas of synthetic skin with no distinguishing characteristics. No nose. No lips. No features at all except two dark spaces where eyes should be.

I pursed my lips and hesitated. "I promise I won't peek" I assured him. He laughed. I even felt his face move. "I know. I trust you" he said with a smile. I could only tell he smiled because of his facial movement. I started to familiarize his face. The simple details that I can feel from my fingertips. Jonas has a round shaped face, downward turned lips, pointy nose, one monolid and one double lid eye. "I'm so nervous I think I might fart" I blurted out.
