“She’s even hotter now than she was in high school.” I raised my eyebrows at him, not sure what to say. “I’m surprised you got back here so quickly after the game,” was all I could think of. “Oh, well, I needed to get here before the crowd,” he shrugged. “Brandon, right?” he asked, offering one of his meaty hands in my date’s direction. “The other guys were just telling me about you. You’re Dr. Sanderson’s son?” “I am,” he nodded, shaking Holt’s hand. Holt is about six-two and probably weighs almost three hundred pounds. I knew Brandon could flip him over his shoulder without breaking a sweat if he wanted to.

I poked back. “I don’t want a body like yours. I’m happy with the girls, thanks very much. You can keep your show-off muscles. And by keep, I mean keep them under your shirt, Jack.” Sandra rolled her eyes and wriggled out of his hold. “I don’t know how I cope with you two. I’d say you’re like brother and sister, but that’s true. You bitch like it.”

Leo’s life was finished. “A kid from a rich family?” Sandy asked curiously. Then, she turned her head to ask her friends behind her, “Do you know anyone with Tate as their surname in the circle?” “No!” “No!” “I don’t!” “Never heard of them.” The other delinquents shook their heads and answered. Sandy looked at Leo and said, “You’re not even in River City circle, so what kind of rich kid are you?” Leo knelt on the ground and quickly replied, “You’re right! Miss Luther, you’re right. I’m not a kid from a rich family, I’m just a normal person. Please be the bigger person and spare me!”

It was 9:00 pm. When they left the hospital. It had rained in the spring, and it was still bone-chillingly cold. Emma and Minlan sat on the chairs and did not say anything. It was Dexon and his two siblings who went to deal with Madam Sandford's funeral. Someone from the Sandford Family whispered to each other. The punks laughed so hard, that droplets of tears escaped the corners of their eyes, and Sandra became uncomfortable. “Miss Sinclair, you think we don't know who you are? Your family won't allow such a pauper to even get close to you, how can he be your boyfriend?” the leader of the ruffians hissed.
