Rowan said, “I know everyone’s tired, but we need to gather the weapons before we can call it a night.”
“What about the bodies?” Aster asked.
“The sun will take care of them.”
“How?”
“Dead vampires sort…evaporate in sunlight,” Declan explained, “all that will be left by sundown tomorrow night is the smell.”
“Yah,” Samuel said, “and it’s the worst thing you’ll ever smell in your life. Kind of a mix between rotten potatoes and eggs.”
“Let’s get to it,” Rowan said and got up, stretching and yawning, “it’s been a long night.”
