TRAPPED WITH THE MAFIA BOSS
By the time Jeremy and Elena stepped outside the estate, the sun was barely above the horizon, the sky painted in streaks of deep orange and faded gold.
Father Bernard was already waiting.
He stood near the chapel entrance, his robes shifting in the early morning breeze, his expression carefully neutral.
Jeremy barely slowed his stride, his hands tucked in his pockets, his steps unbothered, confident.
Father Bernard sighed.
“Jeremy.”
Jeremy stopped, turning slightly, one brow lifting in quiet amusement.
“Father.”
A pause.
Then—
“This is a terrible idea.”
Jeremy smirked. “I figured you’d say that.”
Father Bernard’s gaze flicked to Elena, then back to Jeremy.
