I shake my head, my amusement melting. “Oh, you poor, clueless souls.” My voice drips with pity. “Do you even realize what you’re saying?” I let the silence stretch before delivering the final blow. “Your so-called ‘Alpha Santa’—the one granting your wishes, giving you gifts, ensuring your survival?” I slowly lift my hand and point directly at Elijah, who stands rigid, his expression unreadable. “That’s him.” The crowd freezes. Elijah’s eyes widen just slightly, a flicker of something crossing his face before he quickly masks it.

“You’re always giving at Christmas. It’s time someone gave back.” She moved in closer, and Matt didn’t try to back away as he stared at her in awe. “My bastard elf hasn’t touched me in weeks. Will you touch me, Santa?”

“A note from Santa himself? Wow… Kaleb, that’s a great idea. I think Haze would love that he’s going to make a special trip just for her.” Clearly getting into it, she kept going on. “I could make up a certificate or something. You know…” she added and deepened her voice for dramatic effect, “this is to certify that Hayzel Pearce will be receiving a puppy from Santa as soon as the puppy is ready for a home. Maybe I could draw a Christmas border on the paper and we could frame it for her… you know, with Santa’s signature, and hang it in her bedroom. It could become an heirloom, something she passes down to her kids.”

Bernard explained and went near one of the people who came out of the arrival section. “I smell something on him…” Bernard shouted. But at that time, a cute little puppy stuck his head out of his portable carrier and howled at Bernard. Bernard howled back in response to the puppy. The pet owner looked at him with startled eyes and dashed away from there while hugging his puppy tightly. “Sorry, false alarm! It was a puppy and not a wolf,” Bernard informed them. Faris, as discussed, went to the other side and sniffed all the people who came to drop off their relatives or friends at the airport. Bernard and Betty covered the departure area.

White Christmas trees that were chest-height and lit up brightly could be found on either side of the road every ten yards or so. They were like a beacon that followed them the entire drive. Even the security gate and stone fence were decorated: each gate had a wreath hanging on it and the walls seemed to have luminescent icicles hanging on them. “A little over-the-top?” James asked to no one in particular. “Yeah,” Eliza whispered. “Are you kidding me,” Matt burst out excitedly as the house came into view and they could see the Santa Clause display on the lawn, the elves, and all the colorful lights around the house itself. “It’s freakin’ awesome!”

One was unmoving like a dead person and the other looked like he was one of Santa's helpers." He murmurs then nods. "Right, that's the whole point of elves. They are Santa's helpers." "Santa's helpers? Is there such a thing as Santa?" Gorjon questions across the other room, Stefan sleeping form still on his thighs. Cylester's eyes dart to the elf and his eyes widen in wonder. "So I was not dreaming!"

Maze's eyes widened as she acknowledged the man concealing in the Santa outfit was Cosimo. Maze giggled covering her mouth with an exclamation in astonishment, "OMG" Cosimo blushed however, no one noticed the discomfort on Santa's face, which was hidden behind the fake mustache of Santa Claus. But the shyness burrowed in his bowed eyes did not escape anyone's eyes. Santa came forward and handed Maze a candy floss in her hand and wished 'Merry Christmas' in his pretended heavy tone. Everyone burst out laughing except Orion, to let Cosimo know how much they were enjoying his discomfort.

God has benefited you with this wonderful gift.” Santa said this looking at Clara who was devouring a guava doughnut. Kelly hugged her, showing how happy she was with the gift she had been given. “ My boys went fishing and won't be back until tomorrow night, so my little princess and I came to do the girls' hair here.” Said Kelly with a wide smile and Santa clapped his hands together, happy. “ So let's all go outside. I don't want any hair falling in my kitchen, okay?”
