It was surrounded by a halo of tiny black onyx stones. “It’s… beautiful,” I breathed, my voice barely audible. Antonio smiled, clearly pleased with my reaction. “It’s one-of-a-kind,” he said proudly. “The sapphire is from Ceylon — known for its clarity. The setting is platinum, designed to last a lifetime.” Talon’s hand flexed ever so slightly on my back, and I could feel his eyes on me. “Try it on,” he said quietly, his voice low and rough.

It was clear he intended to intercept it before it could land in Sylvia's hand. Both Addison and Jasmine noticed the stone as well. Addison lashed out at Jack, forcing him to twist aside, and as he did, she kicked the stone, accelerating its speed. The sapphire shot toward Jasmine, who leapt into the air to grab it and then delivered it into Sylvia’s waiting hands. The two pieces of sapphire, much to my relief, connected in Sylvia’s grip, forming a larger chunk that emitted a strong blue glow. Sylvia mumbled a spell and hurled the sapphire into the sky. It shot toward Jack like an arrow. He rolled to the side, barely avoiding it, his teeth bared in anger.

My mother had been sent back to the states with her unborn child. Sapphire was exotic and perfect. I could certainly admit that. She had inherited her father’s wolf traits. Where the rest of us were common red wolfes, Sapphire was a beautiful arctic wolf. Her most unique trait was her eyes though. She had one bright blue eye and one green. Even in human form her eyes and naturally frosted silver hair captured the attention of everyone.

Sapphire takes a deep breath, the water droplets glistening on her skin. "Bruce proposed, and I said yes! We're engaged!"

Sapphire blinked her blue eyes slowly, her forehead puckered and her lips pinned and lopsided. Her mother combed her moisturised hair slowly, humming a love song to herself and tapping her foot to the rhythm of the song. She wasn't paying attention to her daughter that much because if she was, she would have noticed the expression on Sapphire's face, her signature I-saw/heard-something-I'm-curious about-so-I-need-answers look.

Hayden replied before flashing me a confident smile. When we got in the room, the store manager quickly closed the door behind us, and I could hear the sound of the lock locking automatically. The room was quite large and luxuriously decorated in dark blue color. The woman stood behind a counter where many jewelries were on displayed. “As requested, I’ve prepared many jewelry sets featuring various sapphires and diamonds. This one is Ceylon blue sapphires with diamonds. This is Ruby with diamonds and this one is emeralds with diamonds. If you would like a mix of color in the same set then, I would like to recommend this one,” the store manager explained expertly.

she whispered to her mate. “Beautiful” was all David managed to murmur as he gazed into his son’s perfect Topaz blue eyes. He watched them change from the lightest blue to the deepest sapphire before fading back to topaz again until he decided to start screaming again. Even with his little face scrunched up and turning darker by the second, he was perfection.

Sapphire gave me her card before patting my shoulders. "You look dashing in that dress, it reminds me of Hazel." She said on a final note before leaving. My eyes were on the business card. "CEO of Blue's secret." I read out from the card then my eyes went wide. Blue's Secret was one of the best accessories designer companies. "Sapphire Holmes," I repeated the name wanting to mark it to my memory. Maybe it will come to good use once I join the fashion industry. I plan on fulfilling my lifelong dream of being a jeweller like my mother.

he said as he opened the box and my eyes went wide. I half expected it to be a diamond ring, because I recalled the way Vivienne had showed hers off. But the ring nestled in the velvet box held a sapphire. The deep blue gem glowed with an intense vibrance that made my heart race, perfectly contrasting with an intricate silver band. Silently, Matthias took my right hand, the warmth of his hand, the steadiness of his gaze, everything made me feel so dazed that I found myself holding my breath, unwilling to let this moment go.
