She had cried until there was nothing left to pour out, yet the tears still came, silently, endlessly. The priest, a tall man with a gentle yet commanding voice, stood before the casket. His voice carried through the crowd as he began the sermon. “Life,” he said, pausing briefly as the wind brushed through his white robe, “is like a candle. It burns bright and gives warmth, but eventually, it flickers out. And when it does, it leaves behind memories — the true mark of who we were and how we lived.” Heads bowed. Some wept quietly. Others clasped their hands in prayer.

Silence filled the space. Then. “I won’t be able to reach you,” she said quietly. My chest tightened. “Yeah.” Another pause. Longer. Heavier. Then. “Then this is goodbye.” The words landed harder than I expected. Because for everything I’d lost. She had been constant. The one thing that stayed. And now. That was ending too. I swallowed slightly. Then said. “Thanks.” Simple. But real. A pause. Then. “Don’t disappear,” she said.

Turning back to my father, I leaned in close, whispering softly, "Goodbye, Father. May you find peace." With that, I dropped the torch. The flames leapt to life, engulfing the pyre in an instant. The heat was intense, the crackling of wood a grim symphony to my farewell. I watched as the fire climbed higher, consuming everything it touched. At that moment, I felt a strange sense of release, as if some part of me was burning away with him.

Nevertheless I want to feel happy as he called thorn our own but it wont change the fact that I am still feeling heavy. Saying goodbyes is the hardest thing to say. It is the truth as there are two things that are hard to say, the first one is the hello for the first time and the second one is the goodbye for the last one. It takes a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye.

Tears poured from his eyes as he cried out, "How can I live without you, honey?" His words were full of sorrow and pain. It moved the people around us. Ethan's eyes turned red. He said through gritted teeth, "How can you be so heartless, Rosie? That's your mother! You could have saved her, but you let her die in front of you!" The reporters and netizens, who had been waiting nearby, rushed forward. Red paint was thrown at my head, and black garbage bags were dumped all over me. "Get out of the hospital! My footsteps feel heavy as I climb the steps to the stage, my stomach churns when I see all the eager faces filled with anticipation of my words. “There’s a natural time for a bird to leave a nest, and this is healthy and right. Leaving can be part of loving, of showing that you are strong enough to do what you were born to do. As such, our loving bonds are ever there, ever strong, ever tangible. This is my hardest goodbye. Yet come the solstice, I will experience my favourite hello. I love you all,” I tell the pack as I struggle to hold back my tears. Goodbye can be easy. Goodbye can shatter a soul. We never saw each other again. True departure isn't about distance. It's about letting go—completely—and saying goodbye forever.

Our kiss was long and laden with emotions, a silent farewell to everything that could have been. When we separated, Aaron's eyes were full of sadness.
