Corruption

Aster symbolizes patience, she thinks, chuckling quietly to herself because fools that they are I can never afford to be patient, not when my birthright and life is on the line. She plucked another, briefly inhaling its scent in content. Gladiolus is for remembrance; she recalls reading in a book once… and pink carnations–though there was still a tender ache in her chest that has mercifully grown duller over the years as though it was beginning to numb to the pain that was hidden but it was there. It will always be there (which she always pointedly ignores)–as she holds the soft, pink petals with her gloved fingers to inspect it further for any sort of imperfections. As if mocking her, there

Kidnapped By The CEO

Kidnapped By The CEO

As soon as Maria sighted the bouquet of pink carnation, she rushed towards it and held it to her nose, basking in the fragrance and admiring how beautiful it was. "You want this one?" Adrian asked and inhaled the fragrance. "Yes I do. The pink carnation represents a lot of things, particularly love and happiness, she'd really like it." She lectured and he nodded. He felt really strange shopping with Maria. He didn't understand what it was all about, but deep down he enjoyed being with her. She did everything effortlessly and was so concerned about his mother's preference. "Let's pay for this and get the other things. It's getting late already, aren't you hungry?" He asked and Maria shook her

, I asked him instead rather than replying to the question. “I’m a North Korean defector. Does it interest you enough?” Interestingly enough that made me speechless. I decided to look at him carefully looking at his expression which nothing is even plastered on his face, and said, “It’s the “Red Scarlet.” I was here to bid for the rare item of the night, the “Red Scarlet”. It is worth than the value of the famous French Queen, Marie Antoinette’s treasured necklace of which I have also won during an auction in Bordeaux, France. The 26 oval-shaped pigeon-blood Burmese rubies that weigh 1.27 to 5.38 carats were strategically placed to create a floral effect that would make any other lady be in

“I worry that it is the same too.” "Vincent's initials? If you're not kidding, Sir, then someone is definitely trying to mess with your mind. I really thought that chapter was closed." "It's not. And this time, there's a woman involved.” “Vincent never had a woman. The bastard was even gay.” “We might be overthinking things, but I still want you to find that woman for me. She had dark hair, wore sunglasses, and had a scarf. Find the car, find her owner. Dig deep—shell companies, rentals, whatever."

THE ALPHA’S FIRST FALL 2

THE ALPHA’S FIRST FALL 2

Without a moment of hesitation, I returned Elaine's polite gesture, squeezed Andrew's large fingers, and stepped toward the bed carrying a fresh bundle of spirit-herbs and rare mountain blossoms in my free hand. "Aunt Vanessa," I spoke softly, keeping my tone gentle and respectful. "I brought you some spirit-blossoms from the high garden. I selected pale pink carnations, bright golden roses, green bellflowers, and deep orange tulips—all ancient symbols of pack strength, healing, and long life. Try breathing in their essence; the scent is light and revitalizes a weakened spirit. They were freshly cut under the morning dew, brimming with vitality." I reached out, gently guiding the vibrant bou

My voice quivering slightly, I replied, "No, thank you I have had enough." "Are you ready for your shower then?" Before I could respond, he stood and offered his hand. I took it, and he led me to our bedroom. The moment I stepped inside, it was apparent where he had been. Flowers and their incredible scent filled the room. They were on the nightstand, the dresser, and draped across the headboard. There were even petals scattered on a shiny white satin sheet that I had never seen.

Scarlett

Scarlett was ours; we would love and cherish her to the last day. "Have you noticed Scarlett's eyes are getting greener every day?" Maxwell said, and I nodded. I had noticed it too but Ignored it. "That is an unusual eye colour. It is almost neon, especially knowing she wasn't born that way." Clay deduced, and I sighed.

This was a great book, rich in detail and with complex characters. It’s the second book I read from this author, the first being “Unwanted”, which had no ending. This book also has no ending. I’m really disappointed to have wasted so much money on books that appear to have been abandoned.
