My body felt like lead as I pushed myself up from the splintered floor, my knuckles raw and bloody. Nino and the guards stood ten feet back, their hands hovering near their weapons, staring at me like I was a wild animal that needed to be put down. I ignored them. My eyes frantically searched the room until they found her. Scarlett was huddled against the base of the bed. Her white silk dress was crumpled, her hair wild, her small hands shaking violently as she pressed them against her chest. Tears silently overflowed her eyes. Kaiden jumped in the way and got shot by some men," Scarlet said, as her words left my face paled, leaving a stunned sight. "What?" I exclaimed.

“F-ck! Not now!” Rios approached to get Scarlett’s gun, but Scarlett just slapped Rios’ hand. “Don’t interfere, Rios! I’ll kill Ferdinand!” Scarlett glared at Rios, who remained silent. “They took not only the chairperson, but also my mom and my children! So if this is the only way to keep him quiet, I’ll do it!
