"Can I at least try the pink one I really don't like the colour" She pursed her lips grabbing the pink dress and handing it to me. I wore it and I felt somewhat better. "I don't like it. The grey one is better" I frown. "But mom" She showed me her angry face. "It's not your wedding Lilyan, We are getting the grey one" I clenched my jaw as she grabbed the grey and headed to the counter as I stood there.

She looks up and me and smiles. "Violets are one of the first flowers of spring and a symbol of faithful love. Purple violets are for new love. Doesn't your new love deserve some?" She picks up a bundle tied with a white ribbon. I don't tell her no, I don't say a word for a moment, just give her a dollar and turn and walk away. I stop and turn back to her, "Thank you." And keep walking just looking at the little bundle of purple flowers.

The Rose Society's convoy had arrived. Leading the way was an eye-catching Level 6 red convertible sports car, its streamlined body like a tongue of flame, a blood-red rose blooming amid the ruins. The door swung open. A pair of long, elegant legs emerged first, followed by the rest of an alluring figure coming into view. Scarlett stepped out. She wore a black slip dress with a fur vest draped over it, thin against the evening chill, her long, wine-red curls falling loose over her shoulders, striking and gorgeous.

“And you got her red and white carnations.” I frown, not seeing the point. “And?” Yelena raises an eyebrow. “You do know red carnations symbolize deep love and admiration, right?” My lips part in surprise. “Deep love?” I scoff, more irritated than amused by her little revelation. “I didn’t choose them. You’re the one who insisted I send her flowers in the first place. What are you trying to get at?” She bursts into laughter, doubling over at the look on my face. My temper flares, the sharp edge of annoyance cutting through me.

He approached her and stretched out his hand. “Hey Scarlet, you look stunning.” He kissed the back of her palms and offered her another bouquet of flowers. “I still have those ones and they're inside.” She spoke about the flowers she received earlier from Carrillo. “Yeah this is for the night, they're not roses. They're black orchids, expensive and filled with aura because that's what you define.” Jason had his way with words so he got her attention hooked with that sentence. “Stay back, boys. I'll be back,” Scarlet ordered her guards as she saw one of them going to the SUV. She wasn't interested in the escorts.

I managed a soft nod and then she was gone like the wind, leaving me flushed and slightly dumbfounded. I blinked and stared down at the bag. Settling back on my chair, I dug my hand inside the bag without looking. A mix of anxiety and anticipation bubbled up inside me as I pulled out the content. My breath left me in a flurry, my lids fluttering rapidly as I stared at the gift in my hand. Carnations. My favourite flowers. I haven’t seen these in a while, let alone be gifted. And while the garden at the back of the mansion had a small space dedicated to them, they still took my breath away. But what pulled my heartstring was the colours.

The little thing in front of him was attempting to seduce him but Radyn merely assumed that she was just happy to see him. She smoothed down bits of her red-coloured hair, trying to fix the waves, that would naturally fly out if it were not for the magic of hairspray, to make herself look more presentable. It would have been a lie to say that the late mornings did not do her justice as Scarlet looked more extravagant than ever. With her lacy, crimson nightgown hugging her comfortably and her ruby irises vibrant in the light, it made sense why she was called Scarlet. She had an alluring yet devilish charm to her that the Werewolf adored.
