I never liked people getting too close to me. It might have been my survival instincts and trust issues, but I'm used to people being cruel. With both my parents gone, years of surviving as a lone wolf taught me to expect only the worst in humans. Kindness isn't something I see every day. Scar watches me as I wrap up the cuts around my hand with a white cloth. As his name says, he has quite a glaring scar that runs from his left eye to the side of his jaw. His bare chest shows numerous tattoos and battle marks. A leather belt hangs on his waist, securing a pair of cargo pants.

And one of those pieces was now etched into my skin. A faint scar on my palm—a small, stubborn wound that refused to heal. I’d gotten it during that fateful scuffle with Diantha. It should’ve closed within hours. Days, at most. But weeks later, it still throbbed now and then. Not bleeding, but not healing either. And that wasn't normal. Not for a werewolf. We don’t scar. Not easily. Our bodies stitch back together faster than most magic can damage us. So how had such a shallow injury lingered this long?

Lauren gazed into the mirror as she peeled off her clothes, not wanting to miss a single sight of it. The once white bandages that had been wrapped on her back now had a hue of red. She sighed and even when she knew it would earn her scolding from Malcolm, she slowly peeled the bandage off her back closing her eyes at the gory sight that greeted her. Her eyes teared. She didn’t believe it was this bad. And Bryan had seen it too? It made her sob more. She didn’t want him to end up having trauma because of her. She was used to it after all.

She was also scalded, but it could not be so serious. "It's OK. It's not very visible in the back. I'll just put my hair down." Yvonne Brook didn't seem to care at all. Shewent to get the medicine. Ada Wood follows Yvonne Brook and wants to go with her, but she is stopped by the doctor. "Miss Wood. Miss Brook's scald is really too serious. There's no way to move scars at all. No matter who is scalded by a red hot irons, there will be scars."

Skyla's hand fled to her chest when she had a glimpse of his fully naked upper body. His body was badly bruised and had scars all over it! Skyla exclaimed, "I thought one deep scar might be responsible for all of this…" With that she lifted her eyes to gape at his blood covering the ground before getting back her gaze at his chest and then his abs. She continued in her mind, "But there are scars all over his body! It's impossible for me to conceal all of them! This doesn't look like an animal attack! I don't see any person would have done this much harm to me after all he seems strong enough to face whatever comes his way!" Skyl

I forgot. Miss, whoever she is, looked at me shockingly but there's a hint of familiarity and sadness in her eyes. As I stared at her, I realized she really looked so weird and no offense, ugly. There's a huge birthmark that covered her left forehead, down to her eye and her ear. There's also a huge mole on the lower right side of her mouth. To top everything off, she has a lot of pimples, acne scars and blackheads. This girl needs help.

I lifted my gaze to him, demanding an answer for his actions. “Scars set you apart from everyone else. They don’t ruin your identity; they give you a unique identity. I will make you fall in love with everything about yourself like I do. I will kiss your scars so many times that when you see them — the first thing that comes to your mind is not the scar, but our memories they hold. I will leave my permanent marks in your mind — in your memories. So that before you say you love me, you can proudly say you love yourself more.”

The scar that ended Vivian Klein completely to leave a broken shell. The scar that is nothing but a painful memory now. . . . . The memory of a lost miracle.

"Then... the scar on my face, do you have any way to get rid of it? I've tried every scar treatment on the market over the years, expensive ones, cheap ones... not a single one does a damn thing!" Tabitha looked down at the tight grip around her wrist. When she raised her eyes back up, they were filled with a perfectly measured look of sympathetic apology. "Most scar products on the market are just marketing gimmicks; the actual results depend entirely on the individual's skin. This scar of yours is an old, deep-set injury from years ago. Trying to erase it completely... I'm afraid it won't be easy." The hope on Rosemary's face died instantly, looking exactly like a candle blown out by a gus
