I wasn’t entirely sure how to respond to Lucas’ words. I just watched in horror as the scene in front of me. The sight of blood everywhere. I couldn’t figure out what was more disturbing. The dead bodies and blood or the sight of Lucas, who had transformed into some monster.

he muttered. Then she gritted. "There is," she muttered. "It's by killing all of you here!" She spat. The creature she had been summoning finally completed its existence. It was large, it looked like a giant spider with a scorpion's tail.

My clothes were ragged and I lost my sandals, but it doesn't matter because how I'll get away and save myself from these creepy creatures is the most matter. They're like hungry, craving for its foods. A predator hunting for its prey, which is me. They're creepy and scary so I close my eyes in fears. In my lifetime living, this is the first time I'm witnessing and experiencing these. I don't even believe in ghost nor fairytales. They're just fictional, an imagination. Human mind imagery creations formed from fears. Some of them are now approaching me while the others are still standing but ready to eat me. I screamed out of my lungs when they successfully reached me.

Sarah's breath caught in her throat as she strained her senses, trying to pinpoint the source of the ominous growling. But before they could react, a pair of glowing eyes emerged from the shadows, fixed on them with an intensity that sent shivers down their spines. Sarah's heart raced as she gripped her weapon tightly, readying herself for whatever lurked in the darkness. As the creature stepped into the faint light, Sarah and Alex recoiled in horror—it was like nothing they had ever seen before. Its form was grotesque and twisted, with razor-sharp claws and fangs gleaming in the dim light.

But in my very recent dreams, I have come face to face with weird and scary creatures. Once, it had been a snake that stands upright, walks and talk like a man; on another occasion, it had been an elephant that is impossibly big because of the two heads it had attached to its neck. This one I just had, had ostriches with three legs chasing after me.

The night fell silent, swallowed by an eerie stillness. Zara's gaze shifted toward the source of the howl, her eyes widening in terror. Emerging from the shadows was a creature, unlike anything they had ever encountered. Its form was a twisted amalgamation of wolf and demon, its eyes glowing with a malevolent light. It stood tall, exuding power that surpassed anything they had witnessed before. "What… what is that?" Zara stammered, her voice barely a whisper. Alpha Marcus, his breathing heavy, cast a glance at the menacing entity. "A demon wolf," he gasped, his voice filled with urgency. "We're outmatched. We must retreat!"

And then, from the depths below, a shadow began to rise, growing larger and more ominous with each passing moment. As the creature emerged from the water, my heart seized in my chest at the sight before me. It was a beast unlike any I had ever seen, its form a grotesque fusion of scales and sinew, with eyes that burned like molten fire. Its body seemed to ripple with dark energy, casting an aura of fear and dread that hung heavy in the air.

The creatures roared at the two speedsters who were then able to see clearly what these things were. They were tall, about seven feet, with thick hairy grotesque bodies that had them hunching. Their sizes resembled that of grizzly bears except their snarling contorted faces with small but piercing yellow eyes together with the pointed ears gave them more of a werewolf look and even had short thick tails. "How about you all go back to the hellhole you crawled out of!" Damon yelled and it was his skin that ended up crawling after he saw the creatures open their mouths. Their menacing eyes and curved sickle-like claws may have been horrifying but not as much as what came next.

Sandra asked quietly. "A Carnifex is a dark creature that feeds on human fear and flesh to get stronger. They are drawn by sound. So let's be quiet, and stay close. If we don't make a sound, it can't sense us, and we can defeat them," Audrey explained. "I can sense them. They're just four," Mark said, balancing Cara and Grace on his shoulders. Alpha Lake nodded, "Me too." "Yes, hurry, let's get closer to the gate," Audrey said.

There was a clear contrast between the crying and the creature's appearance, which proved to be a frightening sight. Rachelle's heart raced rapidly in nervousness and bewilderment. How could there be such a queer-looking being in this world? Was this a human or a monster? She did not know the history of The Nine Mainland dated so far back that there were many fellows and things like Scitalis existing in this world. The being in front of her was not a monster but a transmogrified spiritual serpent instead. Every creature in this world had a soul, and the name of this spiritual serpent was Scitalis.
