But before I could think of anything, my eyes were shut closed. When I opened my eyes, I found myself in unfamiliar place. I had never seen any room painted in black. Even the room seemed so much scary to me. The room had really awkward interior designs with the animals skin pasted on the wall. The huge head of werewolf in front if me almost scared me to death, followed my lions head and tigers. The huge ivories of the elephant was crossed on the wall. It seemed as if it was the house of some animal smugglers home or maybe some insanely rich person's house.

Her dark eyes watch me intently. “I heard something in the woods,” I answer her. “You don’t think someone is watching us do you?” She asks nervously. Sarah is our resident scaredy-cat. Literally. She is a beautiful, regal tiger who is afraid of everything outside of our pack. She fears the day the humans discover our secret and come for her sweet little Al, who is all of 5 years old. I sigh heavily and walk over to her, placing my hand on her shoulders. “There is nothing there to fear, Sarah. It was just a deer.”

They began to transform, changing into some kind of beast. Eric Damian was still on a killing spree. No one was safe, not even the little kids. He killed them all. Damian had just finished drinking the blood of a child and her mother when he picked up a foul scent. Coming out from the hut, he saw two strange fearsome creatures he had never seen before. They were large, the size of a bear, but looked more like a wolf. They had long, sharp claws and teeth. “Roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" They roared loudly, beating their chest in the process, trying to intimidate Damian. However, Damian wasn't intimidated by these unusual beasts.

Now that I got a little glimpse of how insane they are right now, I was genuinely afraid, not just for myself but for everyone. I was scared that what happened to Perry might just be a little tip of the iceberg. I gulped when I heard the screams and begs of every being just three meters up ahead. Then, we finally entered the wide space of torment. There were chambers and rooms filled with cages containing a horrifying array of creatures – humans, faes, and wolves alike. The stench of blood and fear hung heavy in the air, and I felt bile rise in my throat at the sight of the suffering before me. I couldn’t bear to imagine what they’ve been through all through their time here.

I can never understand how that can get her to become calm. "Did you see that?" Skylar suddenly ask. The fear in her voice prompted me to raise my head and looked outside the window but no matter how hard I look, there was nothing there. "What is it Skylar?" Mom had parked but left the car engine on. "I don't know, but I am certain I just saw a big animal, too big to be called a dog but I doubt... I mean I don't know." Skylar sounded really shaken up so I didn't doubt she might have been telling the truth.

The arrival of Caspian had exceeded the ability of all cultivators and demonic beasts. Scar had the pure bloodline of a divine beast, so she could easily kill all the demonic beasts here. It was like a group of newly born chickens fighting. Suddenly, two ancient giant crocodiles appeared. The fact that these chickens were not scared to death was already quite amazing. Two or three shapeshifting demons were scared out of their wits. They spat out blood and fell from the sky. After the remaining Demonic Beasts realized what had happened, they let out terrified howls and retreated in all directions.

It made a sound similar to a wolf's howl; beautiful, eerie, and heartbreaking all at once. However, not all the animals were pleasant to look at. Next door to the spotted tiger-horse was something that appeared to be a mashup of a duck, velociraptor, and snake and that had the unsettling habit of watching her with its red, slitted eyes. Cherryl avoided looking at that one.

CHAPTER 17 – Will There are few things in this world I’m afraid of. I can handle snakes, spiders, wild animals, serial killers, and psychopaths—as long as they are directed at me. But I can’t begin to explain the terror I felt when those fuckers broke into my home and almost got Shay.

If I detected any, I would reroute. I worried that those responsible for turning my world upside down, would come back to check for survivors or even loot. They would have my scent from around our pack territory, and might recognize it and seek me out. I couldn't afford to be found by others. Being found would have resulted in being taken into a pack I didn't agree to, killed, robbed, or even molested. There were too many horror stories I had heard. And farther from us were more to fear than just other wolves. There were other were animals, like stags and bears. Crocodiles even, I have heard. Demons and vampires too, though I've never seen one in person. Kita had warned me about such creatur

It’s almost mystical in itself that something seeming so dry and arid can have so much vegetation. “I get creepy vibes too.” Carmen admits in a low voice, seemingly aware that we’re not alone out here in the wilderness as multiple eyes start to shine from distant brush. Large and small animals taking note of our alien presence and peeking because they can obviously tell we’re not just wandering human. Animals tend to avoid the scent of wolves at a very large distance in this outer world.
