The lost packs

The lost packs

"I have placed Christopher, Clay, and Shine right behind Adis, Kattie, and Thorn… our second dumb rescue team. They each hold a syringe. Two of them have saline, while the last one is filled with the poison that Tjeck had the honor of sampling this morning. The first part of this game requires the two of you to do exactly as I tell you. If not, your friends will feel a little prick, and one of them will soon be writhing in pain and cramps. And this time, there won’t be any antidote to buy." I glance at Amber. The horror is painted on her face, mirroring the intense fear that eats me up from the inside. "Of course, the three in there don’t know about the game. That would be cheating. Alec wil

Darling and Her Ex's Stepbrothers

Darling and Her Ex's Stepbrothers

I wanted to call tonight a party, but that felt a little too generous. Inside were different card decks labeled by category. Dares. Spicy dares. Normal questions. Spicy questions. Along with a board and a single dice. The rules were simple. You roll the dice and move across the board, pulling a card depending on where you land. If you refuse to answer a question, you have to take a dare. If you refuse the dare, you escalate to a spicy dare. And every dare came with a drink. Simple. Dangerous. Perfect. By the time Nero returned, I was halfway through explaining the rules to his brothers. We gathered around the low table, legs crossed on the floor and couch cushions dragged closer as another r

A Nearsighted Girl’s Journey Through a Horror Game

A Nearsighted Girl’s Journey Through a Horror Game

Total party wipe incoming. Before long, it was time to choose rooms. Elaine explained that while no one had ever cleared this scenario, past players had figured out a few things. The building had thirty floors, one apartment per floor, and only one player could stay in each. “Happy Home,” she continued, was actually a role-playing horror scenario. Each apartment housed strange entities that would act as your family or loved ones. So, seven days of living together with them? There was no way your Fear Value wouldn’t spike.

THE REFLECTION GAME

THE REFLECTION GAME

Ryan asked, cracking open a soda can. Anna grinned, holding up the book. “How about we try The Reflection Game?” Sophia’s brows furrowed. “Isn’t that the one where people supposedly disappear or go crazy?” “Exactly,” Anna replied. “It’ll be fun.” Mia rolled her eyes. “Or terrifying.” Logan clapped his hands together. “I’m in. Let’s see if this so-called game can actually scare us.” By the time the group left the library that evening, the plan was set. None of them noticed the shadowy figure reflected in the glass door as they exited, watching them with unblinking eyes.

The Alphas Hunt

The Alphas Hunt

her eyes were on her feet, not on me. “When- I mean- what?” She chewed on her lip and her cheeks were turning the same bright red as her dress. “He asked us to play a game, the object of the game was to create a scene where life and death existed simultaneously and to put you in a position of limbo where you didn't know the outcome,” A strong surge of power embraced me, wound around my body, and engulfed the whole club. I looked to my side and up at his face. “Bullshit, the object of the game was the scare the living shit of you,” he said and his eyes slowly softened when they landed on my face.

The book was great. The first section was quite disturbing & I almost stopped reading it. I'm glad I persevered as the twists & turns, as well as the character development, made it compelling & worthwhile.

There are A LOT of spelling mistakes at first, and trust me, I almost stopped reading because I was so irritated. But I’m SO GLAD I stuck with it because the storytelling and character dev is so good!! There are still spelling mistakes throughout, but much less frequent. Can’t wait for book 2!!!

Trapped In My Husband’s Golden Cage

Trapped In My Husband’s Golden Cage

It was close enough that every person in the hall accepted it without question. I did not accept it. I said nothing. "Game Three begins in four minutes," the voice crawled continually. "No rest period. The game is called Dead Weight. Each player will be assigned a partner by the system. If your partner dies during the game, you lose two lives. If you cut the chain yourself, you will be executed immediately… No exceptions." The screens on every wall lit up simultaneously. A list of names in paired columns scrolled until it stopped. I found my name on the left side.

Will Always Be You

Will Always Be You

When she reached the stage, she stood behind him afraid of those eyes. "Nate, why didn't you tell me you're coming up?" "Didn't you want to play?" He replied and was glad that she was using him as her defence. "Seems like she's the why type. Happy Birthday. The game is simple. You'll each be given two cards. A blue and a red one. The blue resembles female while red resembles the male. When a question is asked and the answer is the lady, raise the blue card and if the answer is the male, raise the red one. Do you need time to consult each other?" The blond guys told them the rules.

"I know the feeling. I caught her sneaking around the alphas but. I mean she could just be sneaking from meeting up with him, but the way she was going around it, just irks me. I'll keep an eye on her, see where she lea-" The second male cut himself off. "Do you smell that?" The second male says. "I do. No one knows this place is here except for us and the alpha. It smells fresh though. Female. Only one scent. Shes alone. Let's take a look around. The alpha will not be happy about this." I can hear them whisper. They must be close. I hold my breath, no knowing what the hell to do. My heart won't slow down. It's like a stampede is happening in my chest.
