Her charming brows however furrowed on seeing that it was an unrecognized number that had called and at the same time, she sighed in relief that the call wasn't from her editor. "A spam call?", She wondered out loud. This was because this was her private number and normally, those who called in to this number were all people she was familiar with and whose mobile numbers she had saved. She therefore found it quite unusual to receive a call from an unsaved number and could only conclude that it was a spam call. But... Nina hesitated slightly when she saw that the country code in front of the mobile number. It was the country code for F Nation where Selena was.

Scar sighed, not for calmness, but for the dread that was building at the pit of her stomach. "The thing is...." the call ended abruptly. Scar blinked in confusion and hurriedly tried to dial the number again, only to realize that her phone had gone off. "Just great!"

She said though she was scared. " You didn't change your number? " I asked. " Of course, I did. No one has this number other than my parents, my friend Tanvi and now you, Disha and Kunal. I was shocked when I got a call from an unknown number. " She looked scared.

This was a secret address, he had a new identity, and nobody was supposed to have this number. The phone rang again. I stood there watching it ring, feeling fear turning to icy terror that made me want to throw up. The call went to answer phone. "Hi Jonny," The man said, "Listen, I'm sorry for calling but I got your number off a mutual friend - think you know who I mean - I hope you understand but I had to get in touch. This call is unofficial so please don't tell anyone or I'll get in trouble. I just need to talk to you about something. Get back to me on this number or if not I'll get back you soon. Take care, mate."

“Darcy, don’t entertain scam calls anymore.” Kaze tossed the phone back to Darcy and continued, “These kinds of calls will lure you and scam your money. Worse, they might sell you away and you will be gone forever.” “Kaze, that’s Grandfather!” Darcy glared at him.

I quickly dialed him. “We’re sorry, the number you have dialed is no longer in service.” Son … of … a … bitch.

"Ah, Gigi, I’m so sorry! I just learned how to drive, and I accidentally mistook the gas pedal for the brake. I didn’t mean to hit you. "Look at all this blood. You must be in a lot of pain, huh? I should call an ambulance right away. "Wait, what’s the emergency number again? 911? 999? Or is it 991? Maybe I should call each of them one by one, but that’ll take a while. Gigi, you’ve got to hold on!"

It was Carolina's number so why wasn't her phone ringing? “What did you do?” I growled. She gave me a look. “Let me voice out my number to you. You might check the number you just called.” I have already done that. It was her number. “Four six two nine… .” Carolina started and my eyes averted on my phone screen to match the number she spoke. The moment she said the number six, my eyes zeroed at the last two digits. Carolina's number ended with five nine, while this number ended with six nine. It couldn't be. Have I calculated wrong? But when I called this number, I heard her voice. My mind was buzzing with confusion.

Few texts were displayed on the lock screen. 'Where are you? Scar?' 'How was the party? You didn't pick our calls?' 'Is everything alright? What happened? Why aren't you responding to our texts me calls?' 'SCAR I SWEAR TO YOU! PICK UP YOUR PHONE!!!!!!!' 'WE ARE FUCKING WORRIED FOR YOU!!!!!" 'You remember today is New Year! Aren't you going to come back to celebrate? Like we usually did?" "I'M COMING TO YOUR HOUSE RIGHT NOW!!!! AND YOU BETTER BE THERE OR J SWEAR TO GOD I'LL KILL YOU, YOU DUFFER!'

"Even if that's true, what am I supposed to do? Walk away? Pretend the past few weeks didn't happen?" "I'm asking you to be careful. To understand what you're walking into." Marcus pulled out another phone, this one different from the first, and slid it across the table. "This is a secure phone. My number is already programmed in. If anything happens, anything at all that makes you uncomfortable or scared, you call me immediately. Don't hesitate. Don't try to handle it yourself." Elena stared at the phone like it was a snake. "You're scaring me."
