Even now, you won’t let her go even though she wants to leave with me. At the end of the day, all you can get is my sloppy seconds.” I heard it before my eyes processed what was happening. The sickening crunching of bones. Oscar fell backwards, howling and holding onto his nose, trying to stop the endless flow of blood. Jesse was clenching and unclenching his fists and one of his fingers seemed out of place.

Elder Oscar announced shakily. Fear... the emotion that makes people weak, feel powerless and become obedient... I wanted them to feel the chills of being in the presence of me and tremble at the sight of me, I wanted them to feel the urge to bow down to me, to submit, as it will serve as a warning to those who wish harm upon me, and as a reminder that one wrong move and they will pay the consequences.
