The gang members only stared at her strangely after she yelled her name. A teenage boy with a big grin shouted “Oh don't be silly, Lady Brielle. I'm Axe, the hacker." He smiled a toothy smile. “…You’ve been gone for two years, but two years is never enough to forget Axe.” He said with a pout. A girl with so much pride sashayed towards her, Aurora could already smell the pride and ego wafting from her before she even got close to her.

"Is that strange object Axion's doing?" Mallet nodded to Laura, who turned the monitor on the desk around so that we could see its screen. Displayed on the interface was a concise white font. The message took my breath away. Axion has mobilized its final assault. Too early to say if you are their first target. Evacuate ASAP, you've never seen anything like this. Killswitch is the weapon, Terminus is designed to wield it. With Terminus, Axion intends to finish the fight for good.

“These have silver bullets.” Axton paused immediately, holding his hands up to show that he wasn’t coming forward. “Put that away, Sabrina.” He told her calmly. “We can talk about this, there’s no need to hurt anyone anymore.” For a brief second, Axton’s eyes met mine, asking me if I was alright. I nodded my head the slightest, telling him I was. But when his eyes drifted to Tiffany, he clenched his jaw. Tiffany was in bad shape and she needed help soon to prevent permanent damage.

Ryder commands through the earpiece as well. “Hate to burst bubbles, but you have less than five to get out,” Arson replies. Jaxson curses then says, “Sierra right, fun’s over, kiddies!” Tee removes his handgun from the holster under his arm and shoots Axe between the eyes. Blood splatters onto Storm behind him, but off to the side enough not to take a bullet. Storm doesn’t flinch or blink. I respect him a little more for that. He isn’t afraid to get blood on him.

And I had one target and one alone… the darkness. I closed the distance behind Lisa just as she raised both hands to crush an entire line of wolves, including Xavier. I drove the spear into her back. The sound… It wasn’t a scream. It was the sound of a universe cracking. Lisa arched, a guttural snarl ripping from her throat as black light shot through her body. She turned, slowly, her eyes glowing pitch-black, veins dark as ink spreading across her face. “You,” she hissed. “You human stain.”
