The creature’s segmented carapace glinted, its serrated pincers snapping in challenge. Its arched tail ended in a jagged stinger poised to strike. Red veins pulsed along its knee-high body. The wolf surged forward, a growl echoing in his mind. “Kill it. Protect her.” The scorpion lunged, but he was faster. He seized the stinger mid-strike. The creature thrashed, its claws snapping uselessly.

Bag after bag of plasma was pumped into my veins. One raw, guttural scream tore out of me, and then the sound of a baby crying filled the room. On my phone, the screen was still frozen on one last image. Jasper and Fiona were locked in a kiss beneath the Aurelian Tower. I held my crying son and let the tears fall without stopping.

It was the Toad Voodoo Sovereign. Chase flung his corpse at the remaining Voodoo Sovereigns. “Toady!” The Scorpion Voodoo Sovereign caught his corpse with a look of disbelief. He kept patting the corpse's back in an attempt to wake the Toad Voodoo Sovereign up. However, there was no longer any breath in him. The Scorpion Voodoo Sovereign roared, “How could you kill Toady?! I’ll fight you to the death!” The Scorpion Voodoo Sovereign transformed into a dark, shadowy figure and sped right toward Chase.

The poison of a Scorpion was so dangerous, because it can kill, and not knowing the specie of these particular scorpion which had bitten her, it made her scared, she was either going to die by the heavy log which lay on her body or she was going to die by the poison of the scorpion or by a passing enemy who would hear her cries of distress. Maybe, if she screamed, someone might come helping her out from these misery. But what if she screamed, and her voice leads her enemies towards her. Maybe the witches or vampires would not hesitate to suck her blood dry. But she opted for the former thought, is either she screamed and she gets noticed and come what will happen, maybe she got saved or mayb

Picking up a stick on the floor, I gathered my hair together and tied it together to keep it out of my face. I waited for the right opening, waiting for one of them to lower their garred. Just one and the rest will follow. Listening carefully , watching them, one turned his attention away from me and there was my opening. Kiran scoffed and picked up a pure white scorpion. “If you dare take my poisonous scorpion, you’ll freeze to death in a moment.” a young man said to Kiran with a stern expression. “Did you really think you can kill me with an ice-elemental poisonous scorpion?” Kiran’s calm voice was full of ridicule. “Your arms are already covered with white frost. You’re going to die.” The young man laughed, confident that Kiran would turn into a corpse. The others saw it as an opportunity to attack Kiran with their scorpions.
