Mara & Elena – Dual POV Elena The scent of iron and pine was everywhere. It clung to our skin, soaked our clothes, and settled deep into the bones of the camp. For the first time in my life, Ashfang didn’t smell like home. It smelled like a battlefield waiting to be born. Kim supported us, his hands in the air, making tiny heart with his fingers. “I wore them for you.” As usual, Kai ignored them and whispered in my ear again. “I like you naked more,” I replied, biting my lips, “can’t wait to take them off.” What is this beast unleashing within me called? “Oh, I'm done.” “I'm done too…” The twins got up, their faces green like broccoli, as though they’d puke anytime soon. “Hey, hey, relax,” Mr. Kim stood up on the table, grabbing everyone’s attention and managed to stop them, “let’s play a game.” He suggested and Banner’s shoulder dropped in disappointment.
