Lucid Curse

Lucid Curse

Tapping his chin, he mused aloud, “Ahh, a Fenrisúlfr, huh?” The name alone gave his fur a shiver—though he’d never admit that to Shu. “Big bad wolf of the old pantheons… chaos spirit of destruction… giant fangs… wrath issues… existential grudges against celestial bureaucracy…” Yin listed off gleefully, counting on his fingers like he was ordering pastries. He giggled. “Yes, scary man. Very scary. Damn scary. I want to meet him.” Because Yin, truly, was a menace in fluffy disguise.

ROGUE

ROGUE

I took the hospital gown which Nicole had thrown over to me and quickly disappeared behind the curtain I had changed behind earlier on, shifting back into my human form, I hissed as I finally felt the effects of the wound. The pain was worse than what I had been feeling in my neck two days' ago and when I looked down at the size of the wound, I knew that I was going to have another scar to add to the collection I was slowly gathering. But at least this one was a real battle wound. Damn silver. I am going to have to have words with the Moon Goddess about that. You do that and perhaps I won't have a hideous scar to show for my idiocy once the would heals.

Rejected by the lycan king

Rejected by the lycan king

Kiva asked. “The old magic,” Tavrin replied. “The part of the Spiral that remembers what it was before any crown or bloodline touched it.” We fell silent. Something more than war was coming. Something old enough to shake the foundations of every side. 6 : The Bone Path When the Scourge came, they did not howl. They did not scream. They moved like the wind fast, silent, brutal. And at their center was a force unlike anything I had seen. It wasn’t just warriors or Lycans. It was something twisted. Flesh bent by dark rituals, threads tangled with rot. Something that once might’ve been a wolf, or a man, or both but now answered to neither.

My Seven Gorgeous Women

My Seven Gorgeous Women

Howard waved him off before continuing, “I heard you talking about the old hag who took Miss Norris. I happen to know something about it.” “Huh?” All three of them turned to look at him. Howard said, “When I was helping to cure Mr. Yardley from the venom, I found out that it was the venom of the Nefarious Roach.” “Venom of the Nefarious Roach?” Finn and Iris looked bewildered. It was the first time they had heard about this. Chase cut in, “The Nefarious Roach is a low-level spiritual beast. It’s shaped like a little green snake and is very agile in movement. It understands human speech and its venom is particularly lethal. It would cause instant death for an ordinary man with one touch.”

The Surgeon's Ghost

The Surgeon's Ghost

Her men swarmed my elderly father and hanged him alive—right there, in front of my grave. Despair and regret swallowed me whole. I screamed, I sobbed, I begged her to let him go. But as my father's body swung lifelessly, Adeline's smile only grew colder. "Now it's his sister's turn." At that moment, her face was twisted and grotesque, like a demon that had crawled straight out of hell.

The Immortal Emperor Returns

The Immortal Emperor Returns

It came out, clearly expecting not to find so many people staring at it and this somehow frightened enough for it to wheel around and flee. Only, before it could scarper far enough, Chu Xun caught up to it and smashed its skull, killing it easily. The hog must have just freshly turned a Beast Lord and was attracted here by the ancient ruins, thinking it could build up a horde of its own, only to be killed before any of its aspiration could come into fruition.

Mated To The Alpha Alien

Mated To The Alpha Alien

She asks as she walks to where I stand. “The Scourage is made up of a fleet of rogue galactic species,” I state, exiting the shuttle as I make my way down the stairs. “There are Dream Guardians, Shapeshifters, Reptile Warriors, and a Dark Oracle that feeds off your pain.” I come to a stop as we reach the bottom of the stairs. I wait for her as she picks up her other shoe and slips it over her foot. “Fifty earla years ago, a war was waged against the Scourage and Kindreds. The Dream Guardians were luring our females out of their homes and onto their crafts, promising them a cure to make them fertile again. Upon their arrival on the Scourages craft, the females were separated into two groups.

OMG! I laughed. I cursed. I got mad. But in the last chapter, I ugly cried so hard. I thought my crying over Zion needing to be saved was bad. I loved the book and I could read it again and again. Well, done author.

This is my 1st alien book that I have read and I can't get enough of it. I really hope there is going to be a sequel because I don't want this to end and i am intrigued to know more about the offspring.

The Lycanthrope Huntress

The Lycanthrope Huntress

Nadine asked. “Don't worry. Maybe after you find your man.” Madam Yvonne said, placing her hands on Nadine's shoulders. “So, do you want to taste the Dragon Rage?” Madam Yvonne asked. * * * Two days later, Nadine quietly stalked a man on his way home. She suspected that he was a lycanthrope. Some days ago, she had gone to a spa get her legs waxed when she'd overheard one of the workers complaining about a very hairy customer that came to get his body waxed every three days.

The Last Heiress

The Last Heiress

But it couldn't last, because in mid-December, Vex returned from one of her scouting expeditions with news that changed everything. She looked worse than I'd ever seen her—her face was gaunt, her left arm was bandaged heavily, and there was a kind of desperate urgency in her eyes. Corvin hustled her inside immediately, and the rest of us were kept away from the initial conversation. But rumors spread quickly in the keep. Someone had overheard. Someone had seen something. By evening, everyone knew. "The creatures," one of the younger refugees said, his voice shaking. "The Scourge. They're moving again. Vex saw them. A whole group of them, heading southeast, toward Karenthel."

GO ROGUE

I scowl at it. If Ragnar thinks I'm going to play his game, then he's grossly mistaken. I make way for the bathroom, but my hand brushes over the shelf, knocking a book down. I'm about to pick it up and toss it back in the shelf when I stop, looking at the open page. An image of a hooded man, dressed in a black coat, swinging a scythe in one hand stares back at me. "The tale of the three wolf packs..." I whisper, reading the caption underneath.
