Alpha Step Daddy : Four Mates, One heart
I threw my entire weight into the scout, my jaws locking onto his neck.
We hit the dirt in a tangle of fur and teeth. The scout clawed at my chest, his nails digging into the healing scars. I ignored the pain. I clamped down harder, feeling the crunch of bone, until the scout went limp.
I tossed the carcass aside and turned to Marek.
The ghost-wolf stood still, his silver-white fur bristling. He looked at the dead scout, then at me.
He didn't growl.
He just dipped his head—a gesture of acknowledgment. Not a submission, but a thank you.
