Scrambled Jake's Menu Novels & Stories

The babies had given me that extra boost of energy I needed, and even though I still felt weak and not everything was fine, I had the drive to fight every day to get better and move forward. “Thank you. It’s nice to hear that.” Jake adjusted the small table and placed breakfast for both of us within reach. “Did you buy all of this? I don’t know if I’ll be able to eat it… I don’t even know if they’ll let me.” “I wouldn’t give you anything you’re not allowed to have. I asked first, of course,” he replied as if it were obvious. There was bread, toast, jam, tea, orange juice, and chocolate cookies.

“What’s for lunch?” Jake didn’t stop. If anything, he curled his fingers deeper, stroking that spot inside me that made my knees weak. I bit my lip hard enough to taste blood, trying not to moan. “Sandwiches and salad,” Jake answered, his voice calm but edged with something new… something darker. “Amber’s making it. Aren’t you, baby?” Cole’s smirk widened. “Nice. Mind if I get a taste of that sweet little cunt before lunch?” I froze, mortified heat flooding my face. “Jake, I—”

Well, 'the more the merrier'. Since Abby picked the seat next to Luka, I had no choice but to sit next to Jake. Once we were all seated, the waiter handed us the menus. As Jack was looking at the menu, he suggested I try the lobster with cheese here. "That's my favorite, too." Nora shot her tiny hand up, her face full of agreement. "Lobsters are for grown-ups." Abby shot her a look and said airily, "You should have a kids' meal." I slightly clenched my hands under the table and tried not to let anger take over me again.

It's a good job that I've made plenty then, little lady. Maddox joins us at the table, his plate piled high before anyone else. “Fuck I’m starving!” he mutters as Laila walks in; she looks around as she says. “Hey guys, good morning, everyone.” Ben is close behind as usual. “Is there any coffee going spare?” he asks as Jake replies. “In the pot, Ben.” I watch as everyone tucks into the mound of pancakes before turning to Jake as I say. “So, what's the plan for today, Jake?”

They examine the menu together, thinking about what to eat. Jannis sees that Jake can't take his eyes off of the beautiful young waitress, Anna. An iota of envy flickers in her mind, but she swiftly squelches it by telling herself that she officially claims no claim to him. While weighing her choices, her attention is fixed on the menu. She pauses for a second before raising an amicable grin on Anna's face. "Please, a glass of Pinot Grigio. As for the meal, I'm thinking the chicken parmesan would be my choice." Jake places his order for a beer and a steak, looking across at Anna from time to time as she takes their orders. During the course of the lunch, Jannis strikes up a conversation with

It probably is. A knock at my door pulled me up. "It's open." I called. Jake came in with two paper bags and the energy of a golden retriever who had just been let off a leash. He looked around my room, clocked the state of it, clocked the state of me, and shook his head like he wasn't proud of the energy. He set the bags down on my desk and started pulling out containers. "Rivel found this place that does jollof rice that tastes like somebody's grandmother made it." he said. "I got you two portions because you look like you haven't eaten since last Tuesday."

Several of them were clearly pre-packaged meals, and the fruit juice was obviously made from syrup. My mom picked up her cutlery and poked at one of the seafood dishes. Then, she commented, “The veins in these shrimps are black, and the meat is mushy. These shrimps have clearly been frozen and thawed repeatedly. “This braised pork isn’t fresh either. “You’re charging ten thousand dollars for garbage food that’s worse than what you’d find at a roadside truck!” My mom’s voice grew louder and louder. It drew the attention of people at several nearby tables.

,he said before he remembered that he should get lunch for everyone. "Maybe I should branch Evelyn's office and give her her lunch",he thought. "But I will appreciate if you package some lunch for me",he finished. "Okay,so what would you like", said Jacob. "What's today's special", Adam asked. "Today's special consists of chicken tenders with fries served with honey mustard", replied Jacob. "That is one of Evelyn's favorite", he thought. "Pack it up for for in separate takeaways and have one of it put in a food warmer"he replied.

they say in unison. "Dig in boys, made you breakfast. " "Hmmm, this is good.... this is real good. Glad your back baby girl. Don't ever leave again...." Jake says winking an eye. He digs in, a mouth full of waffle, strawberry topping hugging the parture of his lips. I giggle at his expression, he always has good appetite.... surprised he doesn't get effected by it. He has a killer body. Damn it Brianna, get ahold of yourself girl!!
