Shiver

Shiver

Working out six hours a day, every day, and working on an eight-hour shift every night, took it's toll on him very quickly. Ever since a colleague of his suggested enhancers to boost his energy, he was able to add more hours at the gym and more hours on his shifts, and could still hang out at bars afterward. Everyone else was using it, it was common for his line of work. They call it 'the helper', which leads to other kinds of helpers, for every different need. Even actors use them too.

Awakening The Sliver Wolf

Awakening The Sliver Wolf

I winced, my heart kicking. Darius’ expression softened. He took a step forward before he stopped himself. "I know, baby. Shifting is painful. I won't lie and say the pain will stop the more you shift. It won't. But it'll get easier and you'll become used to it. Your first shift hurt like hell. Your second will also hurt like that but lessen just by a little. Third, fourth, fifth, and you won't feel like you'll want to die." I took a deep breath. "So… so this shift will be as painful as the first?"

Straying Echo: Fighting to Escape an Obsessed Alpha

Straying Echo: Fighting to Escape an Obsessed Alpha

Standing on my tippy toes, I pout until he leans down so that I can kiss him as I am completely unable to reach otherwise, because of our size difference. Looking around, I was shocked by the beautiful clearing filled with wildflowers and sunshine. Beaming at him, I gave him a quick hug before nervously playing with my fingers. I’d only ever started shifting once, and it was an unconscious action and we never completed it. Thankfully, Atlas seemed to know how I felt, and talked me through step by step, starting with removing our clothing so they wouldn’t be torn to shreds when we shifted. He talked me through every moment, including the worst part-the first shift is also the most painful, an

The Curse Within

The Curse Within

“Take your time. Breathe. You don’t need to rush the shift. Just feel it.” I nodded, stepping away to find a patch of grass where I could focus. My heart pounded as I closed my eyes, trying to remember how it had felt the first time I shifted. It had been painful, chaotic, like my body was fighting itself. But Lyra’s calm presence grounded me now, her steady breathing a guide. The first ripple of change came slowly, my limbs trembling as the shift began. I winced as the sensation spread, but it wasn’t as jarring as I remembered. The energy coursing through me felt less like a storm and more like a tide, steady and unrelenting.

Haven: Rise of Luna

Haven: Rise of Luna

“I need to practice shifting, obviously, we need to see how synced up it is, how quick, how painful. So get ready to shift at least twice today. I will be working on precision of the elements as a human, and I also want to see if I can control the elements while in your form.” “Alright, all those sound good to me. All you need to do to initiate a shift quickly is to pull me forward in your mind. Don’t verbally call out, but pull myself and my form towards the outside with your mind. You’ll know what I mean when you feel it. Once I feel that pull I will immediately shift.” Juno replied. “Perfect. Well first, I’m going to practice with wind for a moment to warm up. Brace yourself, its less tha

Mated To A Human

Mated To A Human

"What I'm about to do is called shifting. It's fast, so don't be scared, okay?" My lips downturn. Wind sweeps through the forest canopy, drowning out all other sounds. There's only the swishing and rustling of branches as they shake more orange and brown leaves free. "You ready?" She calls over the wind. I hold onto myself as though I'm tipping over the peak of a rollercoaster. There's no going back now, so I say, "Just do it."

Noah, an Omega's story

Noah, an Omega's story

" I said as I gently caressed his face. His eyes slowly closed as he leaned into my hand. Almost right away I heard the sound of his bones snapping and popping. He began to whimper and cry as his bones broke then realigned. "That's it, you're doing so good!" I said, running my hand through his hair then down his back, but staying away from the center, letting my hand run along the side of his back. It would only hurt him if I touched his spine as those bones broke and realigned. So I stayed away from them, but gently ran my hand along the side of his back where I knew it would feel good and soothe him. When you first shift, the bones break, and realign slower than they do for someone like me

Best book in the series! Even knowing bits of Noah’s story, this brought things to an entirely different level. Loved being able to get more details about so many of the characters, even if at times it was heartbreaking. So good!

Second Chance Alpha

Second Chance Alpha

They shift back breathing heavily, before shifting again, groaning and whimpering at the pain. Newly shifted juveniles aren't used to shifting back and forth yet. They still feel the pain of their bones breaking when they shift. Having them shift back and forth will help them get used to it, to the point where they feel no pain from shifting. But right now their shift is slow. They'll have to shift back and forth until they're able to shift within a split second. "When will we start the real training? I'm tired of doing this every day." One of the young males says, breathing heavy, leaning over resting his hands on his knees.

I liked the way that thru out the book you gave little clues along the way and when you revieled that Brandon was the killer it all fit together. Part of me wanted Jason to mark Kimberly and part of me didn't, cause she had just regained her independence and found her strength. Great story ?

Shifted Fate

Shifted Fate

The roar of the wind, the slash of the leaves as he cut around bushes and smaller plants. It’s amazing, isn’t it? “Yes.” I yell back, and he chuffed out a laugh. This is what shifting opens up for you. The world comes alive. The trees speak to you; the wind calls to you; the moon watches over you. The world calls to us, and our animals answer. “When will I get to experience it?” I couldn’t wait until I could shift. Nix chuffed her agreement but stayed silent. We shift when our bodies can handle it. The bigger or stronger the animal, the later we shift. Your father wasn’t ready when he came of age. We shifted after he mastered his magic and his body. We were twenty when we finally shifted.

This story hooked me from the start, and it kept reeling me in. The cover of this book is simple but the story has so much excitement and the super empowered she wolf. The way the author tells the story is none other. It could be a movie in the making the way she cranks up the plot and conclusions..

I love the story. So many new & unique ways she has made this lycan/wolf/witch universe has me captivated tbh. I'm a long-time reader & tired of seeing the same thing. the characters are funny. The way she addresses loss, recovery, and acceptance was touching. can't wait for more from this author ...
