Theo cried out in pain, trying to fight off the attacker. Sarah acted swiftly, leaping at them and trying to slash at the vampire whose reflexes were faster than she could keep up with.

The Steam-Serpents were creatures of semi-solid vapor and molten core, their bodies glowing with a sickly, volcanic orange. They didn't swim; they slid through the boiling air, their shrieks sounding like a thousand tea-kettles screaming at once. "They're targeting the quartz windows!" Nathaniel shouted, his silver staff emitting a high-pitched ward. "If they crack the glass, the steam-pressure will implode the bridge!"

It was not the crystal she needed. "What is this? Not this! Those brainless vampires! They are utterly useless! Argh!” Enraged, Abere surged back toward the surface, her fury propelling her like a dark torpedo. “I will slaughter you all!” her terrifying voice shrieked as she breached the surface. Blaar! Seawater erupted into the air. The vampires gathered on the beach stood frozen in awe and terror as the skeletal figure of a woman emerged, draped in a suffocating aura of darkness.

Joseph stared blankly at the Sea Goddess, he definitely don't understand what the queen meant by Vampires. "Are they some type of beast or what?" he asked hoping for an answer. "Yeah, we can call them a beast, or let's say that they are beast. Beasts that sucks blood, not just any blood, but only the humans blood." The goddess answered.
