Gina said with her mouth full. Selena looked at her with a confused face. "Have you been reading more of those books?" She was referring to the books on Gina's desk that had weird titles like "How to properly unlock the door without the key." , "Speak like a smarty pants!" , "Who are you? I am the ugly world?" , "Books for people who are cops." And other titles. Selena didn't even want to think of how silly the contents were. Who on earth even wrote those books and where did Gina even get them?

Trevor's POV I got back to the hall faster than I had left it, moving with the specific energy of someone who needed to look normal but was carrying about five things that were not normal at all. The room Sean and I had been in was somewhere behind me and Anna Parkhill was somewhere in this building with everything she needed to burn both of our lives down. Even though Sean had told me he would handle it, and I had left because he asked me to, and now I was standing in the corridor outside the lock-in hall trying to assemble my face into something that did not broadcast any of the above…

“Sean!” The well-built assistant came to his master's side. “Give this insolent girl ten slaps!” Frank and his guards gasped. Sean was no ordinary assistant. He was the most feared former special force member. He could swim across a strait, defeat a hundred enemy troops single-handedly, and break ten bricks in one blow. "Wait, Grandpa! Kara didn't mean to harm me. This problem doesn't need to be exaggerated," Frank said panicked. “She herself has agreed. One slap will save one guard, and the tenth will save herself," Rowan said lightly before turning to the side. “Sean!”

Brian hijacked the book from her. "Oh my, I've been looking for it, she is so talented" Brian gasped while I and Sarah rolled their eyes at the same time "Look at this art bro, even with a pen it's so detailed," he said showing it to Sean, who isn't so engrossed to it unlike Brian. "But why will she faint after drawing these great masterpieces?" He asked, finally looking up from the book. "That's what you should be asking instead of gushing over the Art" Sean said, taking the book from him.

Chapter 2: Pleasuring Each Other Ever since Janine kissed Sean, something shifted between them. Others might have noticed it, but each time their eyes meet, when sarcastic remarks are now laced with hidden desire, the tension between them grows. "Still a bookworm?" Sean snatched the book Janine was reading from the table she placed it on. "Science? I thought you were reading romance crap." "Give it back, Sean." Janine said firmly, no longer stuttering and she's now maintaining eye contact with her bully. Her eyes held unspeakable anger and bravery.

Sean must be inside one of them, waiting for death. He listened carefully. Boots were thudding somewhere above, followed by the screeching of something heavy, probably concrete. The sick realization struck him. He had minutes, maybe fewer. He tried a door. Locked. Another one. Locked. And then—a rustle of clicking. There was a key in the third door. He turned it and stole inside. Sean lay on the bunk, his face pale under the dim light. He glared up suddenly. "Who the devil are you?"

Both doors were locked, and he couldn't get them open no matter how hard he tried. "Alice and Sean Hart, just you wait!" he gritted out. He still refused to believe that Macie was seeing Sean. But upon further thought, he realized that some things didn't add up. Macie had made Sean soup, and Sean mentioned they had held hands and even hugged.

"What did you say? Say it again!" Sean snapped back to his senses. He hurriedly changed the subject. "I'm going to buy some books about intimate relationships. Sir, you're so smart. Miss Naomi will definitely fall for you!" After that, Sean hurriedly turned around and left. That night, Jack really studied the book Sean bought back, and he learned it well. The next morning, Jack asked Sean to order a big bouquet of flowers and send them to the Green Residence to cheer Naomi up. However...

I said in amazement, looking at his bookshelf full of books on business and several certificates of the man's success as a businessman. I was just about to reach his gym equipment when Sean hugged me from behind, giving me a gentle peck behind my ear. "I put it there so I can keep exercising when I'm busy." I nodded in understanding, remembering that next to Sean's room was his private study. I felt somewhat amused when the man moved on to kiss the back of my other ear and pressed his lips there a little longer. "Sean?" Sean's hands became bolder to grab my breasts and squeeze them until I sighed.

"Here," he says, and he forwards the file to me. With a shaky hand, I open the file, and a sudden fear rushes into my body. "Bella, I have ordered a few new books for you. How about you go with Alvera and ask her to read you some stories about it?" I heard Sean’s voice, but my attention was on reading the file. "Once I was done reading a small paragraph, I looked up at Sean, and he had a cunning smirk on his face. I wish I could snatch that smirk and break some bone from his face right now, but I feel helpless.
