Lydia’s POV Rina stayed for an extra week at the Alpha’s castle, and it had to be one of the best weeks of my life. We laughed until our stomachs hurt, explored the halls and hidden corners I remembered from Kaela’s orientation, and ate like royalty. For someone fully human, this place was a surreal blend of nightmare and fantasy. She called it “Beauty and the Beast meets Dracula’s mansion”, and she wasn’t far off.

But Tommy had been talking about this particular Monster for weeks now, pretty much since the game came out. He said the Legazeus was one of the rarest Monsters. They only ever showed up in special places, and nobody ever knew when or where that will be. I remembered him saying that the last one to appear was in Central Park and caused a major traffic jam due to people stopping to catch it. “These are rare, right?” I asked, not believing what I was seeing on the screen. “Insanely rare,” he said. He grinned at me. “Let’s catch it.”

He came to the city with speculations, and the sight had proved him right. James asked solemnly, “What are the origins of these monsters?” The middle-aged man replied, “They are from beyond the Endlos. These monsters are being constantly manufactured, and wiping them out is impossible. The mastermind producing them has to be taken out. In the deepest part of the Tribulation World is Tribulation City, which exists to seal off this passage and block out these monsters.”
