“Even though you despise me, I can keep secrets. I won’t tell Amy what happened between us. I’m your friend. Not only that, but I only came here to see my cousin.” The secret she referred to was the kiss, and the way she said it reminded me that Maia was a ticking time bomb. “It’s good to keep secrets, Maia,” I said, lightly squeezing her arm, a subtle warning. At that exact moment, the door opened, and Amy appeared. She wore a casual outfit, but her posture was tense, and her eyes were cold. She saw us standing in the doorway, whispering. Amy stared at us, first me, then Maia, her gaze sharpening into a blade of suspicion.

We all have secrets. The first real secret I ever had began when I was nine years old. I’m not talking about when someone tells you something and you keep it to yourself—it’s more like when you know something or have seen something that no one else has, and telling someone about it takes away from your pleasure, from your secret. Now, I’m not going to talk about my secret eleven years ago. I’m going to talk about my biggest secret of all time. Back when I was sixteen years old.

"Adam, don't marry her. I found the rings. I told you once I'd save up and replace them with the most expensive pair I could find. I wasn't lying!" She fumbled in another pocket and lifted a velvet box. "See? I wasn't lying!" She looked at me with the eyes of somebody who needed an answer. I did not even look at the box. I took the original rings out of her hand and tossed them. They rolled into a planter at the side of the lobby. She let out a sound. "No!" I almost laughed. "Ms. Lake, are you still trying to fool me? Are you not done with the playing-poor act yet?"

She looked like someone who had been drowning in silence for too long and had finally broken the surface, desperate for air. “I’ve been living with a secret,” she whispered. “For months. It’s… it’s been killing me inside.” Maya’s stomach dropped. She could tell this wasn’t about a bad game or an argument. This was something bigger. Much bigger. “What secret?” Maya asked gently. Amelia sucked in a shaky breath. Her hands twisted in her lap, pulling at the fabric of her training shorts until her knuckles turned white.

Aiden said through the intercom. Soon, his secretary walked in with some documents in her hand. Here are the documents, sir." Well, thank you; you can go back," Aiden said as Ambar deposited the files on his desk. Amber looked at Aiden with an admiring gaze and walked slowly out of the room. Mr. Aiden hasn't been as cold lately; he's become warmer and gentler," she murmured with an admiring smile. In his room, Aiden began to read and understand about the SR company, of which Catherin was the director.

"You've always had this air of mystery around you. Like there's something more to you that I can't quite figure out." I hesitated. The decision to reveal my true self was a weighty one. I looked into her eyes. She seemed so nice and I was sure I could trust her, but I wasn't ready to share yet. "I just don't like talking about my past, nothing special," I interject. "I didn't mean to seem secretive." "I see," Amy says with a smile. ''I have to go back to the room to get the special decorating paints. I'll be right back,'' she says.

His eyes narrowed at her sudden dismissal but chose to let it go, knowing better than to jump to the defence when neither her nor his brother gave him more than a few words on the matter. “Anyway, my sister Amaya is studying to be a choreographer at the Washington Art Academy. Madelyn, my cousin, was just signed to T.H.E Modelling Agency; she’s looking to become a Victoria Secret Angel .” He spoke of them with so much pride; it became increasingly obvious that he adored each one of his younger siblings. “That’s wonderful; it’s obvious how proud you are of them.” I noticed and he smiled once again, munching on his fries.

For ten seconds, she had forgotten me. That was ten seconds too long. “Find out everything about him,” I told Adrian. “Every company, every account, every person he protects, and every secret his family buried.” “You already investigated him after the first warning,” Leon said. “I knew enough to tell her to stay away. Now I want enough to destroy him.” Leon crossed the room and placed his hand over the photograph before I could continue staring at it. “If you go to Seattle like this, you will frighten her.”

I cried and he unclasped her hands around me and looked at me. "What do you mean?" she interrogated and I got his letter in the trash bin and showed it to Amanda. "Oh my gosh," she said, and she couldn't believe it also. "What am I going to do?" I asked. And Amanda said to report it to the police, I told her that I was hesitating but she told me that it was the best we could try and so I did. Amanda didn't come along because her mom was kept calling her, and she went home before she found out that she was with me. Because Amanda didn't tell her that we are still seeing each other because her mother didn't want to allow her either, and I understand Amanda's reason because her mother went bey

He couldn't understand why she would do something. "I guess not everyone is as they seem, right?"
