She had just woken up, just like me. “What happened?” I asked, straining my ear for the sound of the fire alarm. There was none. Okay, Marcella didn't find us and torch this place again. “There’s been a security breach.” She said tightly, her jaw set hard. “Our intel got leaked. It’s bad, really fucking bad.” My stomach flipped. In the distance I could hear people shouting, voices overlapping each other. “What? A breach? Isn’t this place designed against that?” No no. This can’t be happening. We have less than five days left to work on this case! How can there be a breach now?

Daniel muttered, “I don’t trust anyone inside that place.” Emma turned toward Lewis. “So what now?” Lewis didn’t answer immediately. He was staring out across the mountains. Thinking. Then Victor’s phone buzzed. He looked down at the screen. And his expression changed instantly. Lewis noticed. “What is it?” Victor looked up slowly. “You need to see this.” He turned the phone toward them. A breaking news alert filled the screen. GLOBAL SECURITY BREACH Emma leaned closer. “What happened?” Victor read the headline aloud.

He was halfway through his deep work the general interrupted. "I think that despite the confusion and magic being used here. I think it's clear that we have a security breach, one that we may have a hard time finding. It's hard to admit and I know that i theoriguly searched for them but I can tell you that everything isn't right with the guards. I can tell there are some guards in there, that aren't one hundred percent your guards. But I prefer we find out slowly. You know, one can never be too sure." He said before settling back onto his chair. Liam's gaze snapped back to the general and his eyes narrowed as he tried to say something.

But the moment shattered when a red alert flashed across the laptop screen. SECURITY BREACH. MAIN GATE DISABLED. Dominic pulled back, fury in his eyes. “They found us.”

I take a deep breath as he pulls out his phone and dials a number. **Phone call** “Boss, we've got a problem.” He says to whom I presume must be Jake on the other end of the phone. “What’s going on, Maddog?” Jake asks. Maddox looks at me with a frown on his face as he replies. “We have a breach at the bunker, there was an explosion, and the security systems have been overwritten.” Jake replies. “Fuck, where is everyone?” Maddox takes my shaky hand in his, giving it a reassuring squeeze as he says.

His white shirt sleeves were rolled up, revealing a raw, scorched mark on his forearm where my Silver Spark had jumped. He looked like a man who had just finished a manual execution. "Sir, protocol dictates a forensic sweep of the subject during a Class 4 breach," the lead guard said. Damian didn't even look at him. He walked straight to the center of the lab, his boots clicking with surgical precision on the white tiles. "The breach has been reclassified as a maintenance failure in the lower shunts," Damian said. He pulled a small, black encryption key from his pocket and slotted it into the wall terminal.

The room was so quiet you could hear hearts beating. “Someone leaked classified information about Velmora,” Dario continued, his gaze moving from face to face like a blade cutting through lies. “Someone thought it would be interesting to see how the membership would react to news of a security breach.” Becorte found his voice first, probably because he was old enough to remember when courage meant something in this business. “The breach happened, boy. That’s not leaked information, that’s facts.” “Facts.” Dario’s smile was colder than winter in hell. “Tell me, Thomas, what other facts do you think the membership should know about?”

Suddenly, the screen in the conference room flickered. "Sir? Is something wrong with the connection?" the European partner asked on the large monitor. Before Jackson could answer, the screen turned pitch black. Then, a bright red skull appeared in the center of the screen. It wasn't scary. It was a cartoon skull, sticking its tongue out. [ SYSTEM ERROR ] [ YOU ARE A BAD UNCLE! ] Sirens started blaring throughout the office. "What is happening?" Jackson stood up, slamming his hand on the desk. Luke rushed in, sweating profusely. "Mr. Sterling! We are being hacked! Someone breached our firewall. All the computers in the building are displaying... a cartoon skull."

Alex's POV We are in the boardroom. Our head of cybersecurity is giving a presentation on how our firewall was breached on Monday. It’s Friday now, and the issue still hasn’t been solved. I think he’s completely useless for what he’s paid. His whole department can’t figure out how it happened. The issue was stopped before important files were opened, but still our whole system is shut down until it’s resolved, which isn’t good for business. We deal with sensitive government contracts and international confidential documents. This can never happen again.

Somehow, in his eyes, that had become proof that I had been leaking corporate secrets. As the accusations flooded the group chat like endless waves, I spoke up once more. "For the very, very last time, I did not leak corporate secrets!" Samuel immediately tagged me in the chat and dropped a screenshot, showing the pricing for a new product launch from Declan's company. "Holy crap. Am I seeing this right? Their product is the same type as ours, and their price is only a cent lower than ours!" I froze instantly. I stared at the screenshot he posted over and over again, checking every detail carefully.
