Perhaps she had been staring too long, as Evelyn began to introduce it. "This necklace is my latest design, part of the 'Home' series."

I definitely wanted the necklace and the bracelet that I saw earlier. “ Can I try?” I asked the lady who had been smiling at me. She nodded her head. With a happy face I went for the bracelet first. It looked gorgeous with sapphire stone which was carved into a flower and there were vines around it. It looked like the vines were protecting the flower. “ Hey?” Abigail shook my arm, pulling me out of my trance. “ Huh? What?” “ You have been staring at it for a moment now,” she said looking at the small tiaras.

Alice had already picked out a gigantic jewelry set with huge clear cut diamond and quartz stones set in them. My eyes bulged at the price tag attached to it, and I nearly had an aneurysm when she smirked at the shop assistant. "I will take this!" She was excited about her new collection and went about the store and picked out an emerald stone ring set and azul, onyx and ruby stone friendship bracelets, surprising me with one of the expensive as fuck friendship bracelets... the onyx one, and throwing me a wink when my jaw dropped to the ground in shock.

I saw Draco still swimming around until he dove and grabbed a necklace. I could tell from afar that it was a purple stone—an amethyst. He probably didn’t see anything further than here, so he went back for the necklace. If the citrine I was holding was one of the treasures, then it also meant Draco’s amethyst was also one, as Adessa mentioned that gemstone. So, I had no choice but to hope that we were both right with our choices. I finally reached the end, and when I finally surfaced from the water, I took in a deep breath, filling my lungs with fresh air. I was still trying to catch my breath when someone approached me and told me to take off my shirt and my underpants.

I slowly made my way toward it and bent down to inspect it. It was a silver necklace with a blue gem inside the holder. I held it closer to my face and the sharp part of the pendant just barely cut the side of my finger. This is the Star of Midnight, a 12-carat sapphire set in platinum, with diamonds sourced from conflict-free mines. Bidding starts at $500,000.” Aurora gasped, her hand flying to her chest. “Henry, that’s it. That’s ‘the’ necklace. I saw it in a magazine last month. It’s a masterpiece. We have to get it.”

“You’re so pretty. Maybe that’s why I look better now. I must have inherited a little of your beauty, sister.” She tilted her head slightly, her smile deepening. “Really? That’s nice to hear. Anyway, here.” She slowly held out a necklace. My breath caught as I saw the shimmering pink stone at its center. It sparkled under the light like a precious jewel, delicate and lovely. “Wait, this is for me?” I asked in disbelief. “It looks expensive. How much is this in the night market?” She laughed softly again, her laughter calm and graceful. “It even has a partner,” she said and showed me a ring. “Here.”

"I'm carrying your child, and you gave me a ring that someone else is also wearing? You really need to fix that." His smile faltered. "What did you just say?" She gestured toward Victoria with visible disgust. "That woman. The homewrecker. She was wearing the exact same ring." Lucas rushed forward and dropped to the ground beside Victoria, hands shaking as he reached for the ring on her mangled hands. Sophie scoffed. "Limited-edition? Please. She probably bought it with whatever shady cash she could scrape together. How embarrassing." Every word dripped with triumph.

The suspense kept my body on edge. Then something caught my eye on the stage. A red necklace, beautiful and simple, covered in precious stones that sparkled under the lights. It wasn’t flashy or over-the-top. It was elegant, exactly my style. I wanted it. Badly. But I had no money of my own here, and there was no way Massimo would buy something like that for me.
