I asked spinning to look at the Moon Goddess. “She is going to be just fine.” She said with a smile. “I need to talk to her. I need to be with her.” I started pacing back a forth trying to come up with ideas on how to get to her. “Gunner listen to me and listen carefully. She is going to be just fine. She is of the royal bloodline, remember? She would want you to focus on continuing to get the refugees out and safe. I can also tell you that the first round went very well and everybody is safe.” Selene said excitedly.

Just an incident made her this half-hearted. Genelia walked towards Terence mildly and asked, "Will she be able to handle it? I don't want her to risk her life!" Terence smiled at Genelia and said, "Don't worry about her. King Alberto's blood is running in her veins. She will rule the world like her father." Genelia slowly nodded her head and wished this to happen in her heart. I warned. Her eyes widened, “Throw her out” I instructed the bodyguards. She screamed continuously as she was hauled out of the pack until her scream faded. Selene intertwined our hands, I looked down at her smiling face “You did well” She praised. After addressing the pack and ensuring serenity, we headed back to my building. “I feel like I should have slapped or something for calling me a slave. I am Selene, the heir of Ember Moon Pack and the Luna of Crimson Moon Pack” She said, gritting her teeth.

Touched her face with fingers that were cold and warm at once. “You are Queen of Two Moons,” Selene said. “But that was never the end. It was the test.” Luna looked up. “Test for what?” Selene smiled. Sad. Proud. “For the third moon.” The sky cracked again. The fourth moon, silver, pulsed once and vanished. In its place, a new moon rose. Not silver. Not red. Black. With a silver ring around it. Like an eclipse frozen. “The Third Moon,” Selene said. “The moon of balance. The moon of endings and beginnings. It rises when a queen chooses all wolves, not just her own.”

Alpha Kael had instructed me to monitor Queen Selene’s chambers and make sure there were no intruders. After the conversation about the blackthorn syndicate and their next possible move, he equally suspected that danger still lurked around despite having lady Vespera, the first threat taken down.

Power radiates from her in palpable waves, and I find myself instinctively lowering my gaze in deference. "Who are you?" I demand, fighting against the urge to submit to her presence. Her smile is as sharp as a blade. "I am Selene, Queen of the Twilight Court. And I believe I can help you find what you seek." Asher gasps, dropping to one knee. "Your Majesty," he breathes. "We thought you were lost." Selene's gaze sweeps over Asher, a flicker of recognition in her eyes. "Rise, Guardian. Your service has not gone unnoticed." She turns to me, her expression softening. "And you, young Alpha. You bear the mark of my bloodline."

The corner of her eyes was brimming with tears as she stared at her mother. Isabella and Rayne could hear them even though they were whispering, and Selene's mother knew this, so she refrained from asking questions of her mother. “I know you must be fine. You should sit, Selene,” Selene's mother said. Selene's sisters only look at her with envy. None of them could think that Selene would turn out to be the king breeder. A position a lot of the wolves in Blackwood always aimed for, but Rayne was never interested in many of the ladies.

They were a kneeling mess, bowing their heads to the floor, begging for their lives. All eyes were on Kael, hoping for a shred of his mercy. Kael watched them with a blank expression. After a long moment, he finally spoke. "The Luna Queen's will is my will." That one simple sentence shattered all their hopes. "No!" A sharp female voice pierced the air. It was the Silver-claw Alpha's mate, a woman who was usually insufferably arrogant. She scrambled to her feet, her eyes wild with madness. "You're all being fooled by her!" she shrieked, pointing at me. "She's a cursed witch who brings nothing but misfortune! Look what she's done! She used black magic to bewitch the King and ruin us all!"

The goddess had chosen Selene as the Luna of Blackthorn, the woman destined to rule beside Kael. Selene entered now, gliding into the chamber with a practiced elegance that made the crowd murmur. Her gown shimmered silver, her long dark hair cascading like silk down her back. She smiled softly, bowing her head just enough to feign humility while letting her icy blue eyes sparkle with triumph. “She is perfect,” someone whispered.
