Shadow Beneath The Stars (Demented Devils) MC

Shadow Beneath The Stars (Demented Devils) MC

I breathed into him, my heart sinking deeper each time my lungs filled with air and his body remained unresponsive. I dragged him away from the inferno, the heat intensifying, clouds of smoke swirling around us. He was heavy, lifeless, and I struggled to position him on the ground, my own breath coming in ragged gasps. Again and again, I tried—my tears mingling with the blood soaking into the earth beneath us. Each time I leaned down to breathe life into him, all I could feel was the cold reality of death creeping closer.

SINFUL CRAVINGS: A Raw Taboo Erotica Anthology

BOOK 3: Chapter 54: The Edge of Madness They lay side by side, slick with sweat and breathless, limbs tangled in a fevered knot of exhaustion and something far more dangerous. The air around them feels charged—thick with the echo of what just happened, the kind of silence that doesn’t soothe but trembles like the moment after lightning. Her chest rises and falls rapidly, each inhale a fight, each exhale a staggered gasp for clarity that won’t come.

Once His Wallflower, Now His Biggest Mistake

Once His Wallflower, Now His Biggest Mistake

I tried to regulate my breathing, the way I’d seen the monks do in the documentaries Seraphina used to watch, but my lungs felt like they were pulling in thick, hot wool. Thump. Thump. Thump. The truck hit a series of bumps. My head cracked against the cedar lid. I tasted copper. "Stay calm," I whispered, the sound of my own voice echoing weirdly in the cramped space. "Leo. Luna. Evelyn." The names were my only anchor. But the air was thinning. Every breath felt more shallow than the last. Carbon dioxide began to build, a heavy fog in my brain that turned my thoughts into slow-motion ghosts.

An Asphyxiating Life

"Ian, I was wrong. I'll admit to the mistake. Please let me out. I can't breathe in here. "Ian, please let me out. I'm suffocating. I could hardly breathe in here. "Ian…" While reading those unsent messages, Ian felt his vision turn black. He plopped down on the floor.

Untameable: Enlightened Child Saga

Untameable: Enlightened Child Saga

Eon’s healing energy surged, a desperate, frantic countermeasure to the violation. A sharp, ragged gasp cut through the silence. I froze, a statue in the shadows, my own breath caught in my throat. Trisha shot upright in bed, her body a rigid line of terror against the dark pillows. Her breaths came in frantic, shallow pants, the only sound in the room besides the frantic hammering of my own heart. She was a phantom in the gloom, her gaze fixed on something I couldn’t see, still lost in the wreckage of her dream.

Betrayed Thrice, Beyond Redemption

" With that, Lucas pulled an exquisite diamond ring from his pocket, got down on one knee, and looked at me with deep affection. I extended my hand and said softly, "I will." Hearing this, Lucas's face lit up with a joyful smile. He put the diamond ring on my finger, then held me tightly. We had a lavish wedding during our travels. While traveling, I came across news about Sebastian. The news said that Sebastian had been severely injured in a business war with the Nolan family. In their retaliation, they had caused an accident that left him in a vegetative state. I looked at the news, feeling no emotion in my heart.

Breathe Me

Love can hit you when you least expect it. It could be a soft easy wind that caresses you and gets stronger over time till it absorbs into your body and heart. Her First Love, My Last Breath

Her First Love, My Last Breath

This was clearly the welcome of a primary consort. I smiled a bitter smile. Yet my chest no longer ached with that sour, painful feeling. My gaze slowly grew dim and lifeless. In the empty rear courtyard, I stood in plain black clothes, completely out of place among the manor's festive cheer. In the biting cold wind, my body grew lighter and lighter, slowly turning transparent. Then I dissolved into the wind and rode it away. … In the bitter cold of that winter night, thunder suddenly crashed, and a torrential downpour began.

Under the Dragon's Protection

Under the Dragon's Protection

Dom had never felt this confused, helpless, and in psychological agony. He was holding his unconscious mate like a lifeless lump in his arms, purple-ish-pale and not breathing. He tried to focus on her heartbeat and his heart skipped a beat after initially not finding a pulse, but then he heard it, and he gave an involuntary sigh of relief. Of course, she wasn't dead, she was an immortal tribrid. This was not how she was going to die, but she wasn't breathing and wasn't awake either. His own breathing was erratic as he looked around and found no trace of what could have happened. Doing CPR wasn't the problem, her heart didn't need restarting, it was her lungs that had seemed to forget to bre

Love In The Gray

Love In The Gray

“Breathe. It’s okay. I’m here now.” Aiden struggled to breathe, his gasps shallow and erratic, but Tristan held him tighter. One hand rubbed soothing circles on Aiden's back. “Just breathe, okay?” Tristan murmured gently. “In and out, slowly. Focus on my voice. You’re okay. I’m here.” Gradually, Aiden’s breathing began to even out. The suffocating pressure on his chest eased, and the spinning chaos in his mind started to subside. “I’m sorry, Aiden… it’s my fault,” Tristan whispered, his voice heavy with guilt. “I’m sorry. I was wrong. I should’ve investigated more.”

Dear author, after finishing your novel, I want to say thank you very much for such a wonderful piece of writing. I took a break from reading and the first book I read was yours. you wrote these characters so beautifully and I created a connection with them and I found myself not wanting it to end.

I really liked this book! Aiden and Tristan had such a sweet love story. The only thing I didn't like was the ending seemed a bit rushed with the sudden 3 year jump and ending at Aiden's graduation. I would have liked to see more of their relationship beyond that. Sequel???
