“In his defense, it does look expensive.”
Autumn stared at the photo. “Why does it have teeth.”
“I don’t know,” Jade said. “But it’s currently melting aggressively, so maybe nature is solving this for us.”
Tristan glanced at the screen, then back at Autumn. Something unspoken passed between them.
Normalcy.
They needed normalcy.
“At least it’s memorable,” Autumn said.
“That’s not the adjective I would use,” Jade replied.
Dominic stepped forward, clasping Tristan’s shoulder briefly. The gesture was casual, but the pressure behind it was deliberate.
