Persuasion

Persuasion

This could not be pardoned. Such were Elizabeth Elliot's sentiments and sensations; such the cares to alloy, the agitations to vary, the sameness and the elegance, the prosperity and the nothingness of her scene of life; such the feelings to give interest to a long, uneventful residence in one country circle, to fill the vacancies which there were no habits of utility abroad, no talents or accomplishments for home, to occupy.

It looked like a dictionary entry stitched into a tag. Common Sense: (n.) Not a gift, but a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn’t have it. I snorted and shook my head. That seemed to fit Mr. Penn to a tee. It also seemed to drive home that Mr. Penn was really gone. Taking a deep breath, it hitched at the apex. Apparently, I needed to rest. This was too much and I still didn’t feel one hundred percent.

Though i wish there was a better ending, i truly enjoyed this read. It kept me engaged and curious about the characters. It had a storyline that naturally flowed and kept you surprised at each turn. Super excited to read more of this author’s work

So so so so sooooo good! I LOVE your writing that’s 2 books back to back of yours that I’ve read. I know the next one I read will be just as good! The plot drew me in the cliffhangers caught me and twists held me down! I loved every minute of this story

Her Graceful War Song

Her Graceful War Song

Leona twisted a handkerchief in her hands, and interjected softly, "Dear, please don't be disrespectful to my cousin." Samuel replied, "If you still regard her as your cousin, then it's only right to offer honest advice. Honest words are often unpleasant, but I wonder if Lady Sinclair can accept them." Carissa smiled. "If it's honest advice, of course, I can accept it. But may I ask, what do you mean by the judgmental eyes of society?" With an air of cold arrogance, Samuel replied, "The judgmental eyes of society are naturally grounded in the principles of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness—the mainstream values that people are expected to uphold."

I am giving this book 5 stars because it's my 1st time reading a book with more than 400 chapters and it has kept me hooked from the Start. I am now at chapter 1002. And I am disappointed that I will be finishing it soon. Thank you, author!!! ...

This one of the best stories that have kept me re-reading. The difference between high born with high morals and character, to the abusive power and selfish entitlement. In a world that is run by man, and females are second hand citizens.

Enslaved By The Mafians

Enslaved By The Mafians

Don Fabrizio calmed his nerves again and tried to take another sip of wine, but Sensi wasn't having it. He smacked the wineglass out of Don's hands, driving it into the wall and causing it to be smashed into a million pieces, spilling its contents. “Fuck wine! Answer the fucking question!” Sensi barked. Don Fabrizio was alarmed at Sensi's behavior so much so that he began to quiver. From his head to his toe. He was a ruthless man, but his days of physical prowess were long gone, but Sensi was still in his prime and if Sensi decided to get into a scuffle with him, legitimate child or not, Don Fabrizio wasn't going to stand a chance. But then, he knew better than to show fear and so he chinned

Sanguine Inclinations

Even so, something about him had made me nervous when we first met, and I couldn’t say for certain whether or not I would have ever gotten past that if I hadn’t needed the money. “I don’t know,” I shrugged. “You’re hot and all, but your vibes were off the charts rancid before I got to know you.” “That’d be the vampirism.” He nodded, taking my confession in stride. “You must have good instincts.” “I still fucked you,” I laughed, bumping my hip into his. “How good can they be?” “Most humans are drawn to vampires, like moths to a lantern.” His arm wrapped around my waist, his hand resting possessively on my hip. “It takes a special kind of person to sense us.”

A Queen Among Tempests

A Queen Among Tempests

screams the angered woman, keeping a protective hold on the young woman she calls her sister. I shake my head in bemused disappointment as her words do nothing to quell the angry crowd. Their ears deafened by the screams of their own self-righteous and misguided indignation. So much malice is filling the air and yet…I detect the subtle notes within the stench that differentiate one person’s malice from another, like a bouquet of rotting flowers, each offering a wide range of scents to confound the senses.

Lies And Betrayal

Lies And Betrayal

She could almost imagine the sensation Isabella described, a fleeting shiver tracing its way down her spine. Isabella continued, her voice imbued with a sensual knowingness. "That specific sensation," she explained, her eyes sparkling with amusement, "stimulates your senses in a way that is utterly unlike anything else you will encounter. It's a feeling, a deeply visceral experience that leaves you breathless, overwhelmed, and craving for more of him." Savita's blush intensified, yet her intrigue grew in equal measure. She had always considered intimacy a realm of discovery, but Isabella's portrayal opened up new vistas of understanding. Savita realised the vastness of the landscape of pleas

The sweet smell of seduction

, he says clumsily and a bit confused by the situation, “ But you don't have to submit to it, ma'am.” I understand what she means. The modesty that we are taught by society makes us believe that whoever chooses sensuality is doomed to devaluation. “ Believe me, girl, there is no knowledge that is not necessary if it is used in the right place and at the right time. It doesn't make you worse than others, only the smartest one who is able to knock down all the obstacles that will arise in front of you”, I touch her chin with my right index finger, boosting her confidence.

Conceit & Kindness

Conceit & Kindness

I heard him say. "And you are gentleman, aren't you?" I can't handle him speaking all the rubbish talks that don't make any sense. "Yes, I am!" He cleared his throat once again and puffed his shoulders more this time with pride. "Then I am a lady of elegance!" "With no etiquette on how to behave, you should not call yourself a lady!" "And you are not even a man enough to know how to speak with a gender opposite to yours!" I argued back at him. I moved again on the contrary path to him but lost my balance.
