Falling for My Husband’s Brother

Falling for My Husband’s Brother

Somewhere around hour four of my vigil, exhaustion finally overcame me. I dreamed of a courtroom filled with faceless judges. Isabella sat in the gallery, her face twisted with betrayal as evidence of my deception was presented piece by piece. The ultrasound images, the fake pregnancy, the lies I'd told. All of it laid bare for judgment. "Guilty," the judges intoned in unison. "Guilty of deception, manipulation, fraud." The floor beneath me opened, revealing flames that reached up to claim me. As I fell, I could hear Nico's voice calling my name, but when I tried to reach for him, my hands passed through him like he was made of smoke.

Mafia king Innocent Luna

Mafia king Innocent Luna

She felt a surge of anger towards Alice for deceiving her, yet also a sense of shame for allowing herself to be manipulated in such a way. “This is the part I want you to suck, sweetheart. 'Penis' is a childish term. For a grown man like me, it's 'cock' or 'dick'. I don't think I deceived you; it's you who misinterpreted it,” Alice asserted arrogantly. Alice was well aware that he had deceived her, taking advantage of what he perceived as her lower intelligence. He knew she might not fully comprehend the situation, but he refused to acknowledge his own deceit. Instead, he shifted the blame onto Alisha, refusing to accept responsibility for his actions. It was easier for him to dismiss her in

RESCUED BY THE DON'S BROTHER

RESCUED BY THE DON'S BROTHER

His impassive visage concealed the turmoil raging within—a turbulent maelstrom of regret, defiance, and an acceptance tinged with resignation. The judge's voice continued, each word chiseling away at the foundation of Ejay's self-assurance. "For your crimes of deceit, manipulation, and kidnapping, this court sentences you to a considerable term in prison." The weight of the pronouncement settled upon Ejay like an unshakeable burden, the reality of his actions crashing upon him like relentless waves against a cliffside. A flicker of emotion betrayed his veneer of indifference, a momentary crack in the armor he had meticulously constructed.

Fated To The Mafia Alpha

Fated To The Mafia Alpha

"The lives we lost because of you, the money and your punishment for trying to deceive me. You have a lot to pay for, and trust me your death won't bring a single satisfaction." "I did not deceive you." As much as I wanted to stop talking and make him go away, I had a lot to say to him and it's hard keeping it all in. "You deceived yourself into thinking I'm just a stealer, and not your 'mate'." I said those words with my eyes fixed on him, laying emphasis on the last words.

The Betrayed Luna's Second Chance

The Betrayed Luna's Second Chance

His innocent words hung in the air, exposing the fragility of our charade. I struggled to find words that could mend the growing rift between us. Shit. "Alex... I know you are sad right now, but don't confuse me for your mother."I stammered, avoiding Damian's penetrating gaze. The guilt and fear entwined within me as the consequences of my deception became increasingly palpable. I was caught in a web of deception, and the consequences seemed inevitable, but it was too late to speak the truth. I could feel Damian's hard gaze of suspicion burning through my skin. It was as if he could see through the facade I was desperately trying to maintain.

Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!

Too Late To Love, I want Revenge Now!

“You used deceit, manipulation, and coercion to prey upon innocent individuals for financial and emotional gain. The evidence presented before this court is overwhelming, and your refusal to show genuine remorse is disturbing.” Sonia let out a shaky breath. Dennis looked like he wanted to crawl out of his own skin. I didn’t even feel the tiniest flicker of pity. Not when I know so well how they hurt, bruised, and betrayed my woman. All I feel is rage. “For these crimes,” the judge said, his tone final, “you are both sentenced to ten years imprisonment with hard labor.” Gasps filled the courtroom. Some people clapped while others just sat frozen.

he said. My lips curled into a dark smirk. “Ever heard of deception?” I mumbled, flexing my wrist slowly as the silver chain snapped. I rose slowly to my feet, my hands still clamped behind my back, giving them the illusion that my hands were still bound. “Letting the enemy chase a truth so bold, that they fail to see the danger standing right in front of them,” I smirked. His face paled. “What was your plan, Luka? Take me, and then what?”

TO THE READERS WHO MIGHT SEEM CONFUSED ...... Landon has a special tie to Rosanne, but she doesn't know it yet. Her wolf is still there, just quiet for now. Mikhail thinks Rosanne belongs to him because she's his breeder, which is why he's so possessive of her.

The story is great so far but it is a little confusing or i guess my impatience is getting the best of me. I’m on chpt.35 and still trying to figure out why we don’t hear much from her wolf and who is her true mate? If it’s not khail, then why is he and his wolf so possessive over Ross?

Ex-Husband, You Don't Own me

Ex-Husband, You Don't Own me

He sighed and said helplessly, “I didn’t admit it. It was your misunderstanding. Initially, I thought my dad had told you something, but now I realize... it was entirely your own misunderstanding. You are so gullible.” Dexie stopped crying for a moment. She raised her head and looked at Luke in disbelief. Then she swallowed and asked, puzzled, “What do you mean by that?” Luke shook his head and, with a forced smile, said helplessly, “I mean you were deceived.” “Luke, you’re the one deceiving me.” Dexie pulled away the hand that was wiping her tears. Her voice choked up and tears welled up in her eyes. She didn’t seem intimidated at all as she looked at him.

Plot is good but the Author is lazy. Incorrect allocation of pronouns, reader ends up paying twice for a chapter 16 and 17 exactly the same), re-use of sentences scattered throughout the chapters and book, etc.
rosenie pultoo
Too bad the translation of this asian novel is messed up and the pronouns are mixed up constantly. The story is difficult to follow because of these faults. Too bad, it was interesting at first but I'm quitting. This app should really do something about the quality of some of these stories.

SLEEPING NEXT TO A STRANGER

SLEEPING NEXT TO A STRANGER

“You came here to deceive us, Nina. You pretended to be my daughter in law to deceive everyone. You’re trying to convince everyone you fit into this place? She visibly reacted to my words yet her eyes showed no anger but only regret. My intentions never included escalating this situation this far. I believed I could deceive everyone around me even to the point of fooling myself. My extended presence here revealed my inability to deceive anyone despite my attempts. Not even you.”

Delusional Revenge

Delusional Revenge

The room was filled with silence, vengeance, and pain. The realization of the fresh betrayal sent a wave of nausea through them. The depth of the deception, the sheer audacity of his performance, was staggering. He hadn't just delivered the worst form of betrayal, he had lived a complete lie for years, basking in the reflected glory of the family he was strategically destroying. He was a man no one would believe could hurt a fly.
