Black-helmed men moved between buildings with a presence too large—to too utterly big—to be mere bandits. The air rang with screams of human beasts And then I beheld them. Werewolves. Not the usual wolves, but giant red-eyed beasts with speck-covered glowing fur and blood. Werewolves. I struggled to gasp, as finally realization caught up. No bandit raid, this time. War had come to Green Hills.
