Every breath I took tasted like ozone and liquid fire. The beast in my head was clawing at my skull, desperate to break the connection to escape the burning agony, but I held the trunk line open with pure, unadulterated Alpha willpower. I wouldn't let her firewall drop. I wouldn't let the continent touch her. Suddenly, Sereia stepped completely into my space. She didn't just place her hands on my chest this time; she wrapped her arms tightly around my neck, pulling her cool, flawless body flush against my burning frame.

“Just like you and Silas. You are fraternal twins. I mean… I mean, after we confirm with the DNA results.” Serena chuckled lightly. “It’s okay. I understand. I’m really looking forward to the results.” “So, Serena, how did you and Xavier meet?” Silas asked next. “We were classmates in college. We both studied Biochemistry,” Serena answered with a smile. She turned to Xavier, who was smiling at her. “We were like best friends.” “Serena is the smartest one in our batch,” Xavier eagerly shared. “She would have been our summa cum laude if she hadn’t been weighed down with so many house chores at home.”

Havel orbs burned through her lashes as she stared through them at him, she could feel Xander’s resistance the closer her lips came to his skin, but her grip was firm. “Sei Amato.” The words were a whisper against his skin, but loud enough to reach his ears and without warning, Xander yanked his hand away like her very touch burned him. Serenity hissed and lifted her hand to her lips, but it was when she pulled it away that Xander felt his blood run cold. She was bleeding.

STRYKER'S POV Watching Serenity faint made me feel something I'd never felt before, and I was not quite sure what the emotion was. The two alphas standing next to her catch her before she hits the ground. One of them picks her up and carries her bridal style out of the office, and I assume they go to either her room or the pack hospital. The other twin follows his brother out, and I'm left with Alpha Brennon, Beta Kane, Gamma Blake, and his mate and my little brother Skyler.

I was speechless earlier because I was ashamed of Raphael's parents who were looking at me now and Raphael was next to me holding my hands tightly. "She is the daughter of the woman you helped with Raphael?" Raphael's mother spoke in firm manner again. "Mom can you talk in nicely instead?" Raphael tightened his grip on my hand. "Oh sorry." The woman turned to me so I politely nodded. "What is your name young woman?" She asked me. "Heart Serenity." I answered politely and she just nodded and looked at Raphael.

Though his piercing amber eyes, glowing like twin furnaces from the depths of some primal forge, remained locked with Serena's in an unwavering stare. Serena’s head slowly tilted to regard Enzo through her luminous orbs without so much as blinking. A small smile curved her full lips as she uttered a single word - a name that caused Enzo's demon-scorched heart to stutter in its cadence. "Xaphan..." The title rolled off Serena's tongue in a sultry purr. "It has been far too long, my old friend. You're looking well, all things considered."

Serena’s POV The air reeked of blood and burning pine. Screams tangled with the clash of steel and the guttural roars of wolves mid-shift. The ground beneath my boots trembled alive with chaos, soaked in the blood of both ally and foe. I could barely hear Kael’s commands through the roar of battle, but I didn’t need to. My bond with him pulsed strong and steady, a rhythm that called me to act not as Luna, not as a fragile vessel, but as the storm itself.

Serena: Every inch of my existence was battered. My body throbbed, and my eyes were now dry from crying. When I woke up, I found myself beside an abandoned building of the dead pack. It took me a few minutes to even force my eyes completely open. But I still hadn't managed to move much since then. Quiet whimpers slipped from my lips whenever I tried to call for help. It wasn't even the physical pain that weighed me down—it was the crushing of my spirit and the violation of my body that left me paralyzed.

CERENA || We had arrived the club about an hour ago and Susan was already drunk next to me. "Cerena baby, come on fuck him, stop thinking about him. Let's get drunk and then you help me find someone I can put on their knees today". she said, while dragging me to the middle of the club. Susan placed her hands on my hips from behind moving them while I pushed Dan all the way to the back of my mind, gently moving my hips slowly against hers.

I begin feeding her , while still talking to her. “My queen…” I hear the voice that I had been dying to hear ever since I woke up from my unconscious state. My head snaps to the entrance to see a very dirty and sweaty Xavier. Though his face and hands were covered in dirt , and his clothes were soaked with perspiration , I could not help but feel attracted to him. I feel my eyes are latched on to him , it felt so hard to tear them away. I noticed every single detail about him – from the way his chest rose and fell from his rapid breathing , to the tiny droplets of sweat that dripped from the tip of his hair. He was simply a sight for sore eyes , though dirty.
