All of his men backed down and walked slowly back, giving us more space. “What does that mean?” I whispered to Gunner, “Shh” he hissed back. “The Alpha Gunner. The Alpha of Alphas, they call you”. Alpha of Alphas, I've never heard that term before. I looked up to Gunner’s chin, he was glaring at the other Alpha with his fingers digging into my arm.

He looked different, more authoritative—an Alpha, unmistakably. Rosco turned toward me and flashed a subtle smile, his gaze unwavering as he spoke with confidence. "I am Rosco Convera, Alpha of the Eastern Sea Pack." He inclined his head, his eyes briefly meeting mine before he turned back to the table. That smile—it sent a shiver down my spine. I hadn’t known he held such a powerful position.

“How did you know to give Magnus the address?” I asked my father as we sat outside on a large deck while Magnus and Diesel cooked on the grill. We had already made the side dishes and set the table. Everyone was drinking a beer while I was sipping iced tea. “Aren’t you an observant one?” He replied. I looked at Magnus and stuck out my tongue.
