(Serena's POV) "Let's... talk." Upon hearing his words, tears burst out from my eyes. The tears I've been holding inside for days seem to understand its assignment. Marcus's warm hand reaches my cold one. As soon as he noticed the cold wave of my ten fingers, he provided warmth for my saddening soul. "What's wrong? Why are you crying?" I refuse to meet his eyes, full of worries. "Please tell me, Siri. I was really not in my right mind these days because all I could think about was what had been bothering you."

Harry said. Fred snapped his fingers, "You are right. Jones, what do you think?" Dowell breathed out deeply and turned, only to see me listening to all they were saying. Tears were almost running down my cheeks. My eyes met Dowell and I ran out to another building, sitting down on the pavement of the building. I sobbed quietly. Dowell ran after me and pleaded that I didn't need to cry but I continued. "Selena, crying will not solve this problem"

I moaned. Draco stood a few feet away, leaning against his desk, his posture infuriatingly relaxed. He checked his watch as if he were waiting for a train, his eyes flicking up to mine only to watch me suffer. "Please," I panted, my voice cracking under the strain. I was sprawled across the mahogany, my legs shaking, my heels digging into the wood. "Draco, I can’t… I can’t take anymore. Make it stop." He tilted his head, his silver eyes cold and calculating. "Make it stop? But we’ve barely begun, Selena. You’re shivering like a leaf. Is it too much for you?"

“It’s still a little too early to say definitively. But the heartbeat is strong and everything looks perfectly healthy.” Sebastian nodded once, but he didn't look up from the scan. And to my utmost shock, a quiet tear slipped down his cheek, landing directly on his dark coat, followed quickly by another. The sight of a weeping Sebastian scared the hell out of me. I had never seen him shed a tear. Not when his grandmother died. Not during the worst corporate betrayal. Never. He was always an immovable wall. Seeing him break now was terrifying. Sarah looked from Sebastian to me, then back again.

From rage. Lucien stepped between us, calm as ever. “Easy, Your Majesty,” he said to Evric with a fake smile. “We wouldn’t want your temper to embarrass your title.” Evric’s eyes blazed.
