I sat up, sleep clearing from my eyes as my mind fully slipped into game mode. This game might be sabotaged. My ex, Zade, could show up at any moment. But right now, I didn’t care. I wasn’t backing down because of Leo’s insecurity or some ex who never truly cared about me. Leo placed the box in front of us and opened it. The first costume was a short net gown paired with a black, body-fitting pants-trouser. For the men, it was a net singlet and short black pants. We got dressed immediately. Just as we were about to head out, Leo stopped me, worry etched across his face.

My brows knitted in the middle. Jared shrugged, reaching under the counter, producing a long rectangular box secured by a huge black ribbon. “I have a plan, and that includes pleasing our billionaire alpha friend, Seth Hawkins.” He opened the box, and inside lay the most hideous suit I had ever seen. It was white with blue and silver embellishments shimmering under the overhead lights. Grinning like a cheshire cat, Jared pulled out a knee-high boots and a fucking sword. “No. Abso-fucking-lutely not!”

But when he asked me out for coffee, I said yes. Todd proceeded to tell me all about his collection of Star Wars memorabilia, which would’ve been fine, if he hadn’t insinuated that he’d really like me to dress up as Princess Leia. And not in her standard white dress, but in that ridiculous metal bikini. I didn’t even finish my latte before I booked it out of there.

“But if that’s the case, then I suppose that shouldn’t bother you.” When he says this, he points to my left, and what I see shocks the shit out of me. Leia wearing a tight black dress and high heels while dancing with another man - well, if you can call that dancing. He has his hands all over her body, grinding against her, and she doesn’t seem to worry a fucking bit. She’s not even wearing her wedding ring, and I am. I turn my head towards Jasper, shooting him a glare. “Did you know she would be here, you asshole?”

He just wished he could hold him, but it seemed as though he was very much like the wind himself. Jin and his father led them all inside. The first thing he noticed wasn't the beautiful artwork painted all over the walls, or the warm lights and conversations that were happening. The first thing he noticed were the two men that stood at the base of the stairs. They both wore kimono's that looked as if there were a hundred layers to them. While Sakdah wore a red and black one, with a black belt and even a matching cover over it, the one next to him wore a gold one with a matching belt. It was a much simpler design than the Alpha's, but it looked amazing on him.

A pang of jealousy hit me hard and I felt the facade I was wearing would burst out any moment. Jade's costume was a perfect indication of a vampire-like impression. She wore a long, flowing black gown that was fitted at the top and flared out from the waist. The dress was adorned with intricate lace detailing and had a high neckline that showcased her delicate collarbones. She completed her look with a pair of elegant, heretofore dangerous-looking, black stilettos.

I could work with that. When I found a video with the costume he referenced, I was shocked at how awesome it looked. Sort of like a dead Captain Hook, minus the hook. So, I ordered a red pirate costume and a skeleton mask. That should work, right? Kimi should understand it. I just hope she didn’t kill me for wearing this, and trying to dance with her. I woke up the next day, and made it to school a little early. Not early enough to get into my class before being startled by the very beautiful Jennifer. “Hey, Nate.”
